Have fun doing cable curls while standing on a swill ball.

AH HA! So true . . .

why do they ALL do that? I swear that ball compnay must give them some kickbacks or something because every exercise is done on that damn ball!

i try to give some constructive critisism and said that pullinbig knows what hes talking about and here i am getting bashed!! WTF??!!

no your right, i was jut kind of saying that more reps and less sets are good for cutting or toning up.

slick, i think its this statement that gets people's feathers ruffled.
for one thing, the "toning" word is a misnomer. as blackbeard said, toning is reducing bodyfat and having muscles that show.
doing lots of reps is only going to achieve that 'tone' if its pretty much done as cardio, but otherwise, it won't get you cut or muscular and it won't help you lose bodyfat.
getting cut and toned is about your diet.
The reason why some women and their personal trainers have them use low weight and very high reps is because they DON"T want to get muscular. they want to burn calories while they workout and get tiny little biceps and firmer legs.
thats NOT what most men want though.
lower reps, as in powerlifting, isn't for everyone either. not everyone wants to solely get stronger, thats fine but its not 'bulking'- bulking comes from eating.

now that is the perfect response. as for the "bulking", i just couldnt find the word i was looking for but yes, i meant gaining muscle and getting stronger.
basically everything you and blackbeard said about toning is what i was trying to say but just didnt know how to say it.

slick would you like a routine thats garaunteed to put size/strenght on ya free of charge?

3x/w is all it takes. if you protein is high enough and you'll eat carbs around your work outs it cant miss.

btw what are your current lift numbers and what size are you? age too. be honest

ok, im 19 be 20 this may. im eating aprox. 260g Protein, 3500 cals and 500-700carbs a day. been working out for the past month. before that about 2 months ago i worked out about 3 months straight. the problem with me is that sometimes i just get lazy and stop working out. but this period im not stoppin till i weigh about 195.

right now i weigh 177
height is 6' 0"

lifting stats are horrible....bench is 175 for 5, Barbell bicep curl is at 105 for 5 and shoulder press is 95 for 5.

in about 1 week ill be starting my m1t cycle and im currently on a basic creatine mono.

ah...now I understand the 5x5
changed my routine already...
is it alright if I do my shoulders on separate day with my chest? or is it better if I do it together with my chest day?
and is my back program alright?
thanks

My advice is not to worry about your supps till you get your training down.
you haven't stuck with a good program long enough to see results at all. You need a good routine- listen to PB's advice regarding it or i can give you one (but his is just as good), and you need to stay WITH it for longer than 4 weeks. more like 8 or 10 or 12, then start all over and do it again. consistantly. keep eating right and get plenty of sleep.

your definilty right that i need to stay on longer than 4 weeks. allthough in these 4 weeks, i already gained an inch in my arms and about 12 lbs. my diet is very well planned and good but i do need to get a much better workout routine. i think im going to follow yours wench.

slick you have no business doing any Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) or phs. you dont even know how to train yet.

so your saying that my 5x5 routine that is posted in the other thread is bullshit and i have no clue what im doing??!! thats bullshit. i know it might be more than the average "3 day split", but you gotta remamber that im 19 and recover faster than you 30 year olds.

No, you don't know how to train yet. Reading a routine on a website and ACTUALLY applying the routine and growing are two different things entirely. And to say that you are 19 and recover better than a 30 year old is just shows your lack of knowledge. You may recover better than some 30 year olds, and LESS than soe 60 year olds. EVERYONES recovery rate is different.

And you have absolutely ZERO business doing any PH's or gear. YOU ARE TOO YOUNG AND TO INEXPERIENCED.

Iron Addict

how about somebody tells me scientificly how a 19 year old body and a 24 year old body would react differently on a PH. and dont say because a 19 year old is not fully grown because i stopped growing height wise when i was 17. and when i stared working out i weighed 155 at 17 years old and now weigh 177 at the same height. i think that is a good gain for being all natural and following a strict diet. and if IM not ready for PH's, i do not know who is.

These guys are here to help man, just keep that in mind. They been training longer than you been alive. They don't care if you don't listen to their advice, but I doubt you will be able to convince them you are right when they have been through it first hand ya know?
