Guys, how many of you do Dips on the parallel or V shaped bars? How many can you knock out using bodyweight only? How many reps can you do with weight added? The most I ever done was 135lbs(3-45lbs Plates)for 4 reps at a bodyweight of 235-240lbs, which is a good amount of weight for me. Man, I swore I seen stars after that set.:D I took about 4-5 minutes to recover. LOL!! Then, I repped out with 15-20 reps to finish. Bro, chest & triceps were BOOMING!!! The weird(sad) thing is, I DO NOT see many guys doing them anymore which is an absolute crime, IMO. But, there's at least a dozen guys in line to use the Cable-Crossover. WTF!!!:redhot: It's crazy!!! What do you think???

I did them but my bodyweight always fluctuates so much I got sick of trying to guess how much resistance I'd need. Plus I don't think there's a whole lot of carryover to the bench (I'm a PL'er).

LF, get a Leather Dip belt from a gym or you can order one online. They range from $30.00-$40.00. I had mine for 9 years and I'm 29 years old. They take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.:D

I do them from time to time, i will go up to hanging 100 of the belt, and hit it for 8-12, I usually do it towards the end of tri workout.

i love weighted dips i go as heavy as i can for 10 reps.then i do unweighted to failure

I don't do them with every workout, but I do them fairly often. I usually will add them onto my chest day. I am also suprised that not many people do them. I am one of the few at my gym. I do them last as a finishing exercise, so I don't use any added weight. I just do 3-4 sets to failure.
