clen and hypertension

Hey guys new to the forum. I just wanted to get advice on clen. To start of with i'm well aware that this chemical is dangerous and even more so if you're uninformed about the product don't know how to dose it properly. Thats why i'm trying to get as much helpful information as i can.

One aspect of clen that i have not come across much on the internet are peoples experience with clen and it's effect on blood pressure.

The reason i'm asking is because my systolic pressure is most of the time around the 132-138mmHg mark, which is considered pre-hypertension. At times i have peaked 145mmHg but only after a certain activity like right after eating or waking up and also on numerous occasions i've been able to get my systolic down to 116-121mmHg with controlled breathing while taking a measurement, but 7 times out of 10 i'll be in the 132-138mmHg area.

obviously because i am in pre-hypertension i am a little concerned of what clen might do to the heart. I'm absolutely not asking people on the forum if clen is safe for me. i just want to know other peoples experience with clen. Has any body had a rise in blood pressure due to taking clen or after coming off it? Because hypertension is a pretty common condition i'm sure that there would be people on the forums that would have acute or pre-hypertension and have taking clen.

I plan to start of on 20mcg and taper up to 100mcg while taking 1ml of ketotifen at night to down regulate the receptors so i can use clen for a month straight.

anybody with advice or have any personal experiences with clen and blood pressure that you could share on this thread, that would be really helpful. thanks :)

Hi
How often do you train, what do you do? What's your current weight and bodyfat %? I've done clen- 2 weeks on 2 weeks off is the best I wouldn't run it 4 weeks straight. You could run it for 3 weeks and u will only then have to run the keto in week 3 not all the way through

David thanks for the link but I'm pretty much beyond that point, I've done a lot of research into Clen already and all general info will list the same info and side effect, I'm just looking for peoples personal experiences with clen, and how it has affected their heart (pressure and pulse).

Personally i've had chest pain on the right side of my chest, but have not had any issues with high BP. I will be finishing a 4 wk cycle on Friday. I will keep you posted if anything changes.

Hi Frenchy,
I bench press at home at least 3 times a week, muay thai 2 twice a week, Fridays I do a very intense boot camp training with a group of people ran by a personal trainer. I take mulit vitamins, fish oil and creatine. I weight 87kg and have 25%BF. 25%BF sounds like a lot but i assure you i'm not fat and i consider my self quite fit.

The reason I've come here is to get peoples experiences, because all general info on the net about Clen is all the same, it states that it could cause high blood pressure and possibly heart failure (generally speaking). What people may or may not know is that some scientific studies that are done on supplements and chemicals are extremely biased. You rarely know who funds or influences these studies and what type of test subjects used (old/young, healthy/ill, fat/skinny). that's why is far more accurate in my opinion to get real peoples experience on certain chemicals like clen (bro science)

OK so my experiences: so i'm on my 5th day on clen(while writing this). i'm on 100mcg today, started on 20mcg tapering up 20mcg per day. Now i've always been cautious of clen because of it's potential adverse effects on the heart. Generally my systolic heart pressure 8 out of 10 times is 130-135mmHg which some would say is fairly normal and some will say it's pre-hypertension. Hypertension runs in my family so naturally i'm concerned.

First day on 20mcg I felt my body heat up(pretty sure not a placebo effect). No other side effects till about 3rd day on 60mcg; while I was out at coffees with friends i noticed my heart beat was unusually high about 100bpm. When got home it was still high, till I hydrated my self and my pulse rate normalized. It was also from this point I told my self while on clen i will not have any source of caffeine, other people have caffeine while on clen with no problems but you have to adjust according to your own body and what it can tolerate.

Some people may not know that clen can indirectly cause changes in blood pressure and pulse rate, through dehydration and depletion of potassium(this is a fact). In turn this can cause head aches, slight nausea and stress. So first few days I did not hydrate as much as i should which made me feel a little funny, for people that don't know clen is a diuretic which will remove a lot of water from the body. While on clen you have to systematically hydrate yourself and not relay on your stimuli of thirst to drink.

My experience and advice:
water - systematically drink, don't rely on thirst stimuli to tell you when to drink. (dehydration will affect blood pressure and pulse rate(fact))
Potassium - Most are getting this already from a balanced diet, If you have a special diet and think your not getting potassium eat a banana a day, if your more calorie conscious eat a tomato instead. (depletion of potassium will affect blood pressure and pulse rate(fact))
caffeine - I like to let clen do its job and not let any other influence to exacerbate pulse rates. As clen it self will raise pulse rates slightly and by taking caffeine it will raise it even more putting more stress on the heart, without any further benefit. I have had friends on clen and drink coffee and coke with no problems, but i think it's best to leave it out of your diet while on clen.
Taurine - 5g a day to prevent cramps. This is my least understood supplement, there is not much study done on it for human nutrition. I didn't believe clen would give me cramps until it happened, in weird places too like the muscles around my waist, all this was fixed went i supplemented 5g of taurine a day.

So yeah if you are unfit and do not practice good dieting, in my opinion you should keep away from clen until you get your body and lifestyle to a certain benchmark . As long as you understand what clen does and be able to balance all the vitamins and minerals that clen has an affect on, also hydrate then you should be fine.

Thanks man. I have had very slight chest pain too, i wonder why that is. David what did you taper up to? 100mls or 140mls?

Clen is a funny one. Most would say your bodyfat is to high and it won't work, it's usually to get rid of the last bit so maybe if you're at the 12% mark you'll notice it. I'm about 20% bf I don't look fat :) pretty fit! Clen didn't work for me my friend. I'm female by the way- I started at 20mcg got upto 120mcg felt fine, only side was slight hand tempura. I'd def use it again to see. Currently on a 12 week cut and a var cycle so prob after I'll start doing the two weeks on/off continuous for a bit. Remember you must drink LOADS of water as clen dehydrates you and you'll feel thirsty. Personally I lost my apetite for a few days. You must also up your cardio! Dont do anything with high intensity because clen does effect your heart rate.
Clen is pretty safe, T3's never again!

Thanks for the feed back frenchy. Yeah clen has controlled my appetite as well, it's good because i'm less likely to eat junk. Yeah since on clen i've been pretty inactive, but i have high intensity boot camp training today, i'm scheduled to take 100mcg today i might just take 20-50mcg because of the intense exercise (what do you guys think?). As with body temp i do feel less cold, but i wouldn't say i feel warm. I did feel warm the first dose i took at 20mcg, but nothing since. I just feel less cold, but i'm not sweating or anything like that.

Do more cardio and eat clean if you don't eat clean it won't work and if your over 15% bf it won't work. Your temp will only raise by a degree get a thermometer :)
