confused on TRT program, would like some advice

I am 46 yrs old, body fat is 15%, I am 6'1" and 200 lbs. I was put on Trt by my endo a little over a year ago. My original test level was 290. My endo has had me on 100mg test cyp every 7 days, which I did every 3.5 days, which brought my test level to 598, bio available to 372.5 ng/dl, free to 185 pg/ml, shbg to 10 nmol/l , albumin 4.4 g/dl, psa is in range .69ng/ml, e2 at 31pg/ml. I am a bit sensitive to e2 conversion it appears so I tried formeron which brought my e2 to 4, I changed it up and was taking Arimidex at .5 eod and my e2 sat around 19, which seems to be my sweet spot.. My endo had no knowledge of me taking an ai or would even talk to me about it so that was done on my own. For the past 3 months I have upped my injection to 150 mgs every 3.5 days to get to a higher range, changed to liquid aromasin 5mg ed to see if it would help my HDL level come up and added 10mg ed of liquid Cialis to help with woody issues. I do labs in between my labs with my endo at private labs, need to run labs in couple weeks to see where things are at.. Since I have been on TRT my energy and sense of well being has gotten better but for awhile now been feeling drained, even with my e2 in check. I don't use HCG, but have been wondering about low levels of DHEA. I don't seem to have the fire and energy in the gym like I did early on and before I started all this stuff. Is there something I am missing or I should check on?? I am running labs in a couple weeks because I have to drop my dose back down before I have my endo apt in may.. Just a lil confused on it all.

Hello,

I am sorry to hear that your TRT isn't going as well as it should. With all the changing of Testosterone dose and the AI certainly there is going to be some ups and downs. HCG would be a great addition to your TRT protocol which works in back-filling the pathways by forcing your body to produce testosterone while it is "shut-down." This will increase intra-testicular levels of e2/testosterone, keep your testes from shriveling, help maintain fertility and keeps the window open if there is a need to stop the TRT.

What is your tT now that you are on 300mg of Testosterone Cypionate/week? Did you try increasing to 200mg/week first or why increase it so much?

I am sorry, I must have wrote it wrong. I am taking 150mg per week split every 3.5 days. I switched to aromasin about 1.5 months ago but even when I was on adex lethargy seemed the same, I only switched because I was under the impression it would help my HDL level. In a couple weeks I will test and see what my levels are here..... I have been up and down with HCG, done with kids and all so don't need to worry there.

There are other reasons to use HCG besides fertility. read the HCG section on homepage of IncreaseMyT website.

How are you liking the Cialis? It does wonders!

What did your program look like when you were feeling good?

You might want to get on a complete program including hCG and monitor your e2 but don't focus on the number 19 on your labs. Think about sides and how you feel instead! For the HDL focus on your diet and exercising, the AI if it drops your e2 too low can affect your lipids. Anastrozole isn't bad on lipids, it's usually bringing the e2 too low which causes it i.e. not using the drug correctly.

When I first started just over a year ago, my test was bumped up to 100mg every 5 days, I was taking formeron for an ai. My tt was 768 and free was 348. My labs were takin at the 5th day, but noticed drop about 3rd day dosing every 5 days. endo said my free was to high so he dropped me back to 100mg every week. After reading on the forum I started dosing every 3.5 days which was better. I felt better at 100 every 5 days dose but really had to monitor my e2 levels. I asked him about HCG and of course he shot that down, same with talking to him about an ai. I told him my energy level dropped after awhile an he told me it has to be something else beside test levels because mine were fine at 458, but he wouldn't check anything else. I will get on your site and read that article. I love the liquid Cialis, so does my wife. when I have my e2 goin good the Cialis is the bomb.. I will post my labs when I get them here soon before I adjust anything, I appreciate the added input.

Hello,

Yes, the Cialis will definitely impress the wife! It helps against BPH and blood pressure as well!

Definitely start the hCG and see how it goes with that.

It takes a while to get your TRT program dialed in, post your labs when you get them!

Hoping to get to the lab tomorrow. The Cialis is great and gets the blood pumping even when I am not in the mood. I was wondering about DHEA levels and HCG on my first post because even though the Cialis and my TRT program, my libido sucks big time. When I first started TRT it was great but sucks now. guess it is a good thing I love sex and my wife is horny all the time. But that was where my reference was coming from with the DHEA levels and HCG once the testicles are shut down.. Thanks for all the response and help, will post my labs as soon as I get them back..

Ok, got my new labs in from Labcorp, I am currently taking 150 mgs split every 3.5 days with .5 mgs liquid aromasin ed. My labs are taken 3.5 days after shot. TT is 582, e2 is 21.3, LH .2, FSH .3, albumin 3.8, whatever BUN is says its high at 26, BUN/Creatinine ratio high at 24, hematocrit 47.7, hemoglobin 15.9, wbc 6.8. rbc 5.4. Now this is weird because takin 100 mgs test every 7 days puts me at 474, free test 123.7 and bioavailable at 249, 100 mgs split every 3.5 days put me at 595, 100mgs takin every 5 days puts me ate 761 with free test at 279.5 and bioavailable at 562.7 and e2 at 31. endo didn't like every 5 days and put me back to 100 mgs every 7 days, he like the 474 better. should I bump my test up and to what?

I have an apt with endo next month, I am considering dropping him or looking for another one because he won't do anything. He won't test e2, says it isn't necessary. I was going to talk to him about testing my DHEA levels and see what he would do. Talked to him before about HCG and he said no way in hell. He also told me that where I am at is within normal range and if I wanted to go higher in that range I would have to find another doctor. I can't afford right now to go to a TRT clinic.

Hello,

If finances are at a squeeze you could get the prescription of testosterone from your current physician for the medication to be covered by insurance if that is the case.

For an AI to manage your estradiol and hCG you could get that prescribed through Increase My T and also consult with us throughout so that you are under the care of professionals specified in the field rather than having to come on the forums asking questions about what the deal is with your current doc. Getting labs done can be done through us as well.

This is deffinately worth some thought. My insurance covers my dr appointments. It is such a hassle to only get a month supply of test so my endo writes my script for 10 cc and I buy it outright for $105. My ai and liquid Cialis and extra test I get from sponsors. Everything is out of pocket but monthly is not to bad...
