Considering taking test and have some questions.

So, I have never been on any gear before in my life and considering maybe going down this road in the somewhat near future, like 6 months to a year. I'm really just looking to get bigger, stronger, faster and have better endurance but I want to achieve this while minimizing the potential for nasty side effects. To me, it seems that just taking some testosterone may be ideal for me, as I'm not really looking to become massive. I was thinking taking around 250-300mg of test per week, I'm looking to avoid orals to avoid live toxicity.

Looking at the link I posted above, the changes in blood work really don't scare me much because I have very healthy serum cholesterol levels, blood pressure etc.

Current stats

6'5"
235 lbs.
BF estimate around 15%

So, the questions I have are......

1. What are the chances of developing gyno on such a relatively low dose of testosterone and would injecting multiple times per week, vs once per week, minimize that risk?
2. Would I be correct to assume that my sex drive would increase? The study I linked didn't suggest that would happen though.
3. Should I expect my testicles to shrink and my ejaculatory volume to decrease?
4. Any other things I should know?

Thanks guys

You are proposing a dose that won't put you too much higher than your natural testosterone levels. Why shut down your HPTA for minimal upside?

Take a look at the thread linked below in my signature. It will answer your questions. Once you read through it come back to this thread and we can finish the conversation.

Also, how old are you and how did you estimate your body fat %?

Based on the study I linked, which was also in your sticky, 300mg would put me at 1200-1500. I'm not looking to put on a huge amount of muscle and in that study it showed 300mg would help me gain around 10 lbs. of muscle.

25 y/o and I guesstimated my BF based on how I look, look fit and lean but no six pack.....If I wanted to be super conservative I could say 20% BF but based on my endurance and speed I highly doubt that.

I'm going to go through the rest of that sticky tonight, thanks.

1200-1500 isn't that much higher than your Natty TT at age 25. Why shut your HPTA down for slightly more than you likely already make?

Have you run blood work yet?

I haven't done my blood work anytime recently, I was planning on doing a lot of research prior to jumping into this and probably wont be looking until spring of 2016 when and if I decide to go this route.

Would the off period of a cycle simply be an attempt to maintain your "gains" or is it expected to have some of your new found fitness capabilities atrophy a bit, and if so by how much?

It is diet that dictates a lot in this matter. But you will always lose some LBM after a cycle. Your body simply cannot retain as much glycogen as it is able to when using AAS.
