one of the lifters i trained with was around 150 pounds , his lifting belt was one of the lever belts and his belt was tighter on my leg than it was on his waist :D
i wasnt making fun of him he trained hard and heavy but had a tiny build and a high metabolism

I've got two questions, because one of my friends is in this same situation - lifts, dedicated, and eats an assload, but still weighs like 135.

A) Did you ever get him to gain size/strength?
&
B) If so, how?

he did gain SOME size but getting big just wasnt a realistic goal for him . have your friend stick to the basics heavy squats, deads, bench,db rows,bb curls, etc.
heavy weight with reps in the 3-6 rep range . he should gain some size if he keep eating and even though he wont be huge he will be the strongest 135-150 pounder in the gym . theres always powerlifting he could lift in the under 132 pound class if he lost a few pounds of water before weigh in and as he gets bigger progress to the 148 pound class . let me tell you even the big guys come out of the warm up area to watch a truly strong little man compete , they rate plenty of respect .

Well, that's the problem. This guy gripes about not being able to gain size, but I've never seen him do squats or deads - bench about 3 nights/week and rarely if ever any leg work. I've preached to him that that's the only way he's gonna gain size, but the bastard won't listen.

Thing is, he's more concerned with how he looks than how strong he is. He's maxing (bench, of course) 215 now at 135ish, but he's pissed off that he's not gaining any weight (actually LOST 5 pounds since he started back lifting 2 months ago or so.)

all you can do is tell him . if he wont train properly he will have to live with the results . and hes benching to often 2 times a week for a experienced lifter , 1 time a week for 99% of the people

im 150 lbs ... i know his position ... i doubt very much that he is eating properly ... make sure he is eating the right shit.,... i knwo thats my prob on top of my metabolism .. but he should try everything else b4 blaming metabolism .. you know what i mean?

Well, at that weight I don't think it's so much eating RIGHT, as eating A LOT, especially as low as his (and probably yours at 150) bodyfat is.

Possibly. Lots of carbs, that's good. You need lots of carbs and LOTS of protein for sure. Both the pasta and the rice, you've really only gotta boil and add ingredients, LOL. NOt that hard to cook, IMO.
