DirkMoneyshot said:Why do you feel you need to be training 2x / day??? Not really necessary and for most it will cause more problems then good.
what he said, plus:Easto said:Every Meal of every day is important.
Pre Workout you want to makle sure you get lots of good complex carbs. They will supply you with the energy you need to get through the working. Not enough carbs = half assed workout.
Post workout you will want to eat some type of carbs. I like to eat some simple carbs (quick into the system) and some complex carbs.
The rest of the day, make sure you eat a balanced diet. Carbs, Protein, AND fat are all important.

I also thought that it would be better to split up my leg workouts, doing quads one day and hamstrings on the next. The same with Bi's and tri's. I've been having a hard time trying to get my arms/legs to develop more...so I figured that I wasn't training them enough like I do on every other body part.
For example I did 6-7 exercise for shoulders and they blew up in like a month...where as for my arms legs it was more like 5 different exercises.
I mean I know that I'm no where near the level of a pro...but it seems like a lot of people train 2 times a day on a 2 on 1 off routine.....
also shouldn't it be okay to train twice a day as long as you are getting the proper nutrition that you need to grow???
exactly what I was going to say.Suareezay said:what he said, plus:
before 6pm: pro+carb meals
after 6 pm: pro+fat+veggie meals (unless you workout after 6pm...then its ok to have carbs until 3 hours PWO

Your either: Talking way to much - Doing way to many sets/exercises
More isn't better in BB, Without rest and recovery there is no growth. Unless you have the recovery ability of a "pro" which i'm going to say you don't - or you wouldn't be asking these questions, and have the time to do nothing but eat and sleep the rest of the day - You need to schedule things differently.
6 - 7 exercises is a lot of extra work to be doing - You do not grow in the gym, it is the stimulous that causes growth. The marconutrients you injest afterwards is what causes the growth.
