Deadlifts and wrist straps

Hello, I've just started using wrist straps for deadlifting as I was having problems with grip (forearms gave way). Is there anything wrong with always using wrist straps, or should I train forearms for better grip? Currently training for mass gain, so I'm doing 8-10 reps, 3 sets.

I would personally stay lower on the deads, but thats just me. If you like 10 reps, go for it. I find 10 to be high for most any upper body movement unless its an early warmup set.

I use straps but I also do some forearm and grip work. When I didn't use straps I always used an alternate grip for any deads/shrug work.

I'd advise doing forearm and grip work. I too use straps when lifting heavy, but if I don't really need them I don't use them(for lighter lifts). When doing deads I'm focused on getting the most out of my workout for my back, hams, etc. So I don't really care that I have to use straps to aid me in that. But I still do forearms and grip work.
