DHT & Baldness Concern.

Hey. 31 years old, started trt about 6 months ago. Currently on 100mg Cyp E5D. Has bloodwork drawn 2 weeks ago and my DHT is 223. ref range is 107-719.

I have my mothers hair genetically (color texture ect). My Father is bald and went bald when he was in his early 20's. he has 2 other boys with another women and both are already started to lose their hair and they are 18 and 21. I never noticed receeding hair line or hair loss. past month or so I noticed single strands coming out in shower and sometimes when i run my hand through my hair. YES, it could just be a mind fuck and in my head because im actively looking for it now but I'm not sure. People tell me im not losing my hair but no one knows you like you.

My DHT level isnt on the high range but I still want to ask the pro's on here. Would lowering the Cyp dose to 90 or increasing the time between shots to 6 or 7 days do anything?

Advice is appreciated as always,

if you know your a lifer propecia will work well for you. if not topical solution would be best. IMT uses a product called Soligra, it has the main ingredient Bimatoprost in it. This is the same active ingredient in Latisse. This was really popular with women's eyelashes. Now IMT works with a pharmacy that makes a topical solution for men, and since its compounded its a lot less expensive than Latisse, which is pricy.

Hope this helps

Cool thanks. I got Nizoral OTC/1% a couple weeks ago, been using. TBH I THINK the sporatic hair loss is lessening. I also got Nioxin which is supposed to also help lower DHT in the scalp and make hair healthier. I have good hair genentically.

I heard bad things about propecia on the boards/internet. How does Soligra differ from nizoral?

Thanks as always for your input Sir OAK.

no problem.

Propecia is great and works awesome to stop hair loss, but if your not on TRT it can kill your sex drive. If you are on TRT then it doesn't matter since you are supplementing your sex hormones.

Porpecia is suppressive a lot like Progesterone based meds, but as I said, if your a lifer on TRT it doesn't matter to you.

I don't know the exact differences on soligra, i will have to dig that up. It works a little better for regrowth than nizoral.

Intersting. Didnt know that TRT users wont get the negative effects of propecia. My GP said it doesnt help with hair growth just prevents loss. Im going to set up an appt with my derm and see what she says, maybe get a script for propecia. If you can check out the diff between soligra and nizoral that would be great (also good for you to know so you can advise people in the future because I know your a big help to everyone on this forum.

And regarding HCG, It's on order so I'll begin taking it soon. Thanks for that advice also. What dose should I take and whats the frequency? Should i inject in the same place as the test?

Also, If my trough Test is 902, then maybe thats too high and I should lower the dose or lengthen the time in between shots. If im naturally in the 200's then 900 is a big aritifical jump and could really be speeding up the hairline recession/hairloss

Thoughts?????

man up, shave your head lol...

i am experiencing fairly quick hair loss myself... its in the family so i knew it was going to happen.. you deal with the cards you were delt

LOL, nahhhh man. I love my hair. I have my mothers hair and I SHOULD have it for a while but I think the artificial elevation of my test is fuckin things up. Kinda buggin tbh. Not sure what to do. Take propecia and risk limp dick (which was one of the reasons im on TRT in the first place), lower my dose or lengthen time between shots, or try Nizoral and nioxin. I think I've noticed less hair falling out since starting the Nizoral. If it ever does fall out and past the point of no return I'll probably then start gear cycles.
