Sup. So I injured my quad last summer (Rectus Femoris), right near the insertion point into the hip. I have been wearing a neoprene thigh wrap/brace to prevent me from pulling it again and allowing me to train legs and such. So I'm nearly at the end of my bulk cycle and I noticed that my left rectus femoris is larger and protrudes more outward than my right. I'm thinking that the brace is restricting blood flow which is restricting muscle growth. I asked my P.T. and he agreed.
I am using more logic than bro-science in my hypothesis but I can also see see the proof in the pudding. Its not a night and day difference from left to right quad but I notice it. When I squat there is absolutely no imbalance though. There is no strength difference either. I actually set a PR a couple weeks ago with my 1mr squat.
Going to train without the brace on Sunday/leg day and see how I feel. Going to start light until I see how it feels without the brace.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
