Do testicles always shrink on hrt?

I'm 62 years old, 5'11", 175lbs. and in relatively good shape but I have low free test. I was on Androderm 4 mg patches for 6 weeks in August/September. My testicles began to ache after about a month. I was told that my natural t production was shutting down and my testicles were shrinking. I stopped the Androderm and I tried to address the low free test issue with natural supplements to no avail.
Yesterday my doctor prescribed Androgel 1.62 and my insurance accepted it. I know if I start it I'll have the same shutting down and testicle pain issue. I'd like to know how long the testicle pain lasts and how small my testicles will get as time goes on. Thanks for the imput guys.

Get some Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and you won't have to worry about that at all

The biggest problem for me in regards to shut down is after time ejaculate volume goes way down, when this happens I am much less sensitive when I ejaculate.

HCG brings back the sensitivity for me.

I have used Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) since I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and have had zero shrinkage or testicle pain. If you can get your doc to prescribe injections instead of the androgel you will see much better results.

Im surprised your doctor didn't provide you with any Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). Did he give you any estrogen blockers, Arimidex for example. Does your doctor specialize in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or is he a primary care physician? I have been speeking with the guys at Increase My T and they are starting me off on 200mg test cyp a week along with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and Arimidex. These guys have top notch customer support and are very knowledgeable. They set you up with your individual rep so you get one on one support. I can call my guy at 8pm and he answers everytime. Anyways, like the other guys said, ask for some Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and you should g2g. Also, they make a device called an easy pen to administer your Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and it is extremely convenient so I suggest you ask about that as well...Good Luck

The same for me. Once the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) was added...the sensitivity came back. A much more pleasant orgasm.

How much Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) do you need at least for it to work? What is the smallest possible dose? Even if I got Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) I'd have to pay it myself so money would be a factor.

And can Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) be injected in the stomach or does it have to be IM?

Hcg isn't that expensive. One jug of 5000 ius will be under a hundred and depending on the dose you administer, it could last you for five weeks if you make it 500 ius shooting it twice a week. Best to o with increaseMYt though. They could probably get you all set up.

My Doctor is a primary care. I mentioned Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and he said he'd have to send me to an Endo for that because he didn't know anything about that aspect. It turned out that I was telling him about alot of the things I learned here.

From what I gather most peoples does. Mine did. You can do Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) but remember its probably not covered by insurance. And a lot of doctors wont persribe unless you say you want it for fertility reasons. Also Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) doesnt work for everybody. Also with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) it can throw your levels off specially your Estrogen levels which may require more drugs. Just food for thought.

Sometimes the estrogen conversion is a good thing. Some guys have had lowT for so long they do not aromatize much and actually have a problem getting there E levels up. Men can also have an aromatase gene deficiency.

HCG also stimulates the P450 side chain enzyme at the pituitary, this should provide some support for the manufacturing of DHEA, Cortisol and TSH. This will allow the hormones to be distributed to the correct metabolic pathways, to where those without it, could fall short due to the testosterone's suppression at the hypothalamus.

Another thing Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) can do is promote the conversion of testosterone to DHT, as we know DHT is about 5 times as potent as testosterone on the androgenic scale, this could provide those that take testosterone and have low DHT a permanent solution.

Those who think Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) merely makes your balls bigger, are missing the boat on the best hormone since testosterone.

right. My point is adding things arent always as easy as just adding and things create second and third order effects. And in this case you could go from 1 med to 3. Not saying dont do it, just make sure all angles are covered. At 62 id probably opt to stay away.

From what I gather you can do Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) alone and kind of a restart method on your system. But most of the time it is combined with Test. If your going to come off test totally then you probably just try just clomid, clomid is in pill form and covered by insurance most of the time anyways. Shrinking balls shouldnt change your total ejaculate amount to much as your balls just produce sperm which accounts for a fraction of the contents of your total wad.

The prostate produces the bulk of semen. Your balls produce sperm which is only a fraction of the total amount in a single ejaculate. Im on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and personally can say the ejaculation is better but not any better before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and my ejaculate amount is different before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), during testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or while on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). My balls feel better which create a better well being which I think is driving the better ejaculation. Have you ever done a 2kIU shot? It makes a huge difference for some reason. My ejaculate volume always goes up, if it doesn't, thats how I know I am not taking enough.

what is a 2kIU shot, i take 250IU now, so your talking 8 times that? When why would you do that?
