looks like i'm stopping finasteride to just shave my head if i start losing it because anyway it's starting to turn grey and i hate looking at my grey hair makes me feel old so no point in keeping the hair. i'm just wondering how would i get it shaved, can you go to a hair salon and they shave your head with a razor? or i guess a barbershop might?

if you do it yourself how do you do it? do you use an electric razor then use a regular razor? how often do you do it? i'm concerned at how i'm going to use a razor on the back of my head without getting cuts etc. if you use two mirrors are you holding one up in the other hand while shaving with the other? seems it would be awkward trying to position your head at the right angle and holding a mirror at the same time as shaving it lol

any tips?

I am not at that point in my life but I would if that was the hair style I was sporting. The only reason for needing someone else is because of bad flexibility, but yourself and a mirror will get the job done.

actually just found this, looks like it's all I would need, not even really a mirror necessary (maybe after a couple times anyway) it's a blade designed specifically to shave your head, even has some wheels on it so you can just roll it down your head. HeadBlade® | Ultimate Head Shaving Razor & Head Care Products here's a youtube video of somebody using it, you can see he doesnt even need a second mirror and you can get it done pretty quick with it - How To Shave Your Head with a HeadBlade Sport - YouTube

Ok ... No special razor required, no mirror, very little effort. If you have hair now, have a barber shore it off, and shave your head for you the first time. From then on, you will need and extra ten minutes in the shower eod.... (no not for that!)
You will do this just by feel. Soap up your head. Start your razor upside down at the base of your neck on the back of your head. With very little pressure, shave a row at the bottom. Rinse your razor, move up a row. Same... Very little pressure.... Shave another row accross. Repeat till you work around to your forehead. Just feel to see if your missing spots. Trim parts around your ears later when you can look in the mirror... While you shave your face.

I been shaving my head for years. Go to walmart and get yourself a mirror designed to hang up in the shower, get a good razor with multiple blades, schick quatro is my favorite. I shave my head and face in the shower everynight, this works out the best for me. Your head will be tender at first but it will toughen up fast and you will get used to it. Best of luck!!

I just use a guard less clippers (0) then use a razor to get rid of neck hair. easy and only costs you the price of the clippers.

i now many guys who use that special head shaving razor bro and after many years of the same old clippers & face razors never went back. I have never used it myself but it looks cool. I will need it some day for sure

id say get some clippers nice ones, but if your gonna have someone else do it go to a barbershop that does fades and uses a straight razor. it'll be the best shave you've ever had

is this suppose to be a joke question?
grab some damn clippers and just shave it!

I've been shaving my head for nearly 15 years. I used to use clippers with no guard but I've switched to using an electric razor over my whole head. If you're shaving for the first time you'll need to have a barber use clippers to get it down to the nub. Then go home and use a razor. After you've shaved it doing it every other day works nicely to keep it maintained. I've found that an electric razor is one helluva lot cheaper than buying blades to do the task.

any particular electric razor you'd recommend? for some reason i'm still not sold on using a real razor i guess worried i'll cut myself or something or not be able to get all the areas etc. i guess as with anything it would take practice to get good at, i guess basically like pinning for the first time so if i had no choice i would have to but, if i can find some easier way i'd prefer it. electric razor sounds pretty easy, i just wonder how far to the scalp it would get like I don't want for people to be able to easily see where i'm losing hair etc. like an outline of those areas if you know what i'm talking about. like i used to get a clipper 0 at the barbers for a while but, even after that you can see the small hair so if i was going bald i might still look a bit silly if you can easily see the receding hair lines etc.
