Do you think one of them is using gear pt. 2

She's there with her husband, who's on a several year contract. I knew here better a few years ago, but I don't talk to her much anymore, more just face book friends now

That's cool. My Aunt lived there for a while with her husband as well.

The 25 threads about IF/Leangains lately. I still don't understand the "science" behind IF as it's simply calories in versus calories out. But what do I know, I just lift heavy things and put them down. ;)

It would be hilarious if 3J did go on a banning spree for it though. :laugh:

I think it's specifically Lee092 lol. He's brought it up in a few threads. You're right on the money it's another method of limiting calories: calories in vs calories out. The science part of it has been distorted by Martin Berkhan to suit his desires. Studies have been done showing improved and increased hormonal secretion, especially growth hormone, when fasting. 2 problems with the studies though and why they're not necessarily applicable to IF and Leangains. The first is to get the hormonal benefit from fasting one must fast for at least 24hrs for a very very slight increase in GH. If you want a larger spike you'd need to fast for 5days :ugh: I don't know anyone who fast for 24hrs everyday or regularly for that matter to get these purported benefits and 5days is just unrealistic for us as a population. Secondly, the increase in GH from fasting has statistical significance but a clinical significance has yet to be shown meaning so the fuck what you get a GH increase, it's not enough to actually change anything. In the end it all boils down to its another type of diet that has a charismatic leader, devoted fan base, and some sound and some unsound principles behind it. :)

Well, it could be worse. Raspberry ketones with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) diet anyone? I want to reach through my monitor and choke bitches when I read about those. :mad:

Lmao. The FDA mandated a warning for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and for manufacturers to explicitly state it's not a fat loss medication. People still believe in magic I guess ;)

Anabolics 10th Ed. said:
By 1974, the FDA had had enough of the hCG fat loss claims, and mandated the following statement to be included with all prescribing literature. ***8220;HCG HAS NOT BEEN DEMONSTRATED TO BE EFFECTIVE ADJUNCTIVE THERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY. THERE IS NO SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE THAT IT INCREASES WEIGHT LOSS BEYOND THAT RESULTING FROM CALORIC RESTRICTION, THAT IT CAUSES A MORE ATTRACTIVE OR ***8217;NORMAL***8217; DISTRIBUTION OF FAT, OR THAT IT DECREASES THE HUNGER AND DISCOMFORT ASSOCIATED WITH CALORIERESTRICTED DIETS.***8221; This warning persists on all product sold in the U.S. today. In spite of this warning and evidence to the contrary, some clinics still promote the use of hCG for dieting purposes.***8221;

;) hey we still know what to use Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for though and Dr. Oz doesn't have shit on that lol

Hells yes. I still need to try it to see how it effects my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Probably cheaper than the DHEA/Pregnenolone I'm buying too. :p

Someone said it in one of Apollon's threads I believe: enough Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for an entire cycle costs less than an Xbox game lol
