Yes, that's what I think too, and what I've been doing for years. One guy at my gym always gives me shit about taking too long between sets. He's always telling me 30 seconds. I keep telling him it's 30 seconds plus another 30 for every year you are over 30. It's usually just flat and incline chest that I'm slow on. Been doing 3 X 12 and I agree, I don't want to go backwards.
Hopefully by then I have someone to bring with me so I don't have to make the trip alone and third wheel your family LOL.
SS is also a very boring program in general. Not to say I haven't been enjoying the progress... but damn lol. I'm used to high volume.
Compound lifts should always require more rest time. Obviously flat bench is more taxing than cable crossovers.
I end up in Socal on work more often than I do with my family. I usually go to land alone a few times a year.

I REALLY need to start doing real barbell bench. I always work out alone so I use one of the machines. I think I'm going to stick with if for now, at least all the way through post cycle therapy (pct), but try to switch up before my next cycle.
