Do You Think Steroids Should Be Legal In USA?

I think they should be legal but there should be an age limit of at least 21. I think just like getting your drivers license though you should have to take a test and pass to be able to take them and you would have to get a certification. You basically become a machine on gear so you should have to be responsible while on.

Yes, but you're very hard pressed to find a doc that will prescribe injectables. They all want to put you on Androgel at $300 so they can reap the kickbacks.

^^^^ this x100000 I have a cousin who's a pharmacist and his mother works as a consultant at a group of hospitals. Every week they're getting pharmaceutical reps in to "market" the drugs they want sold. They actually get perks for pushing certain drugs over others among other very shady dealings. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that the public isnt aware of.

The excuse of protecting the teens is total bullshit! Teens can access steroids, drugs and alcohol as easily as we can.

The large amount of bad or questionable ugl's protects the uneducated teens because they will be scammed a few times before they find a legitimate source. Not getting a package because of selective scammers or getting sterile oil gear with no hormone is off putting for these uneducated teens.

These unfortunate events will turn some teens away protecting them from these drugs. Of course, the serious teens that have done their research will overcome these obstacles and obtain a legitimate source easily. With pharma grade gear being legally and easily available they don't get a second chance. The shit will be legit and they will be hooked!

As mentioned a few times in this thread, a minumum age of 21 and being tracked and restricted like pseudoephedrine, it would still be illegal for teens to posses, just like alcohol and tobacco.

The difference here is that you don't have a small store owner, willing to look the other way at under age alcohol and tobacco purchases. You would have a licensed pharmacist in fear of loosing their $250,000 license and a limited amount you could purchase.

We all know it's not going to happen in the near future, if ever, but the arguements I hear against it are not valid IMO.

Shady ugl's also might have sterility issues so the teen who does get some gear can get infections and maybe worse! Being scammed is not a valid preventative measure. Would you want kids getting their hands on home brewed grain alcohol and die from toxicity?? Or how about the bootleg tobacco market, would you say the risk of putting heroin in bootleg cigs to get ppl addicted is a good way to prevent kids from smoking (it does happen I've seen more than one report on it)? The counter argument to pharma grade fear being legit and kids getting hooked is at least you know and regulate what's in it and its not some sort of guessin game!

AAS should be 100% legal WITHOUT a prescription! This was they way things had worked from 1950***8217;s -1990***8217;s prior to any ban and making them illegal. In that time frame there were no real reports of roid rage (a myth), or bodybuilders knocking off banks and pharmacies to go buy d-bol tabs either (unlike prescription pain pills today).

Making AAS illegal only creates an environment where all the illegal activity goes along with it. (underground labs making who knows what ***8211; smuggling ***8211; drug dealers ***8211; weapons etc) Doctors are not so willing to treat you because it is illegal substances. So how did making this illegal help anything?

Plus if anything is going to kill you it isn***8217;t anabolic steroids. Of course there are exceptions of retards that will overdose on Tylenol or drown on a teaspoon of water. But those are the rare exceptions and even then I don***8217;t think I ever heard of someone dying from anadrol tabs. So Duh! Why is this illegal again?

Take care,
T.

As someone who started tobacco at the age of 14 and alcohol consumption at 15, I can say making a substance controlled doesn't prevent the kids from taking them. I'd much rather see folks running around on AAS living a HEALTHY lifestyle than dealing with cancer and drunk-driving fatalities. Like 2rude4u stated perfectly, we see FAR more complications from prescription meds that anyone can get from scraping their knee or getting a headache.

I had spinal arthritis and a few compressed discs in my back for which I was prescribed hyrdomorphone, a VERY potent pain killer. Little did I know that you are HOOKED on it after a week at moderate dosages, and got to see how heroin addicts "kick the habit" on top of crazy constipation, hallucinations, and near-psychotic episodes. I've NEVER seen ANYTHING like this with ANY "recreational" drug including AAS and it drives me nuts that this stuff is not viewed with the same microscope as a vial of testosterone is.

I don't even want to get into the sides of half the prescribed meds I'm on like the potential of bladder cancer (diabetes med), congestive heart failure (diabetes med), death (diabetes med), heart failure (blood pressure med), and many more lovelies that the FDA says are okay to administer as long as they put them on the insert as a warning that nobody reads (but me apparently) anyway. How many deaths have been attributed to AAS, ever? Three?

It'll never happen, but we can dream. :p

Education about the dangers of UGL AAS drugs and in what conditions they are produced in (bathtub gear) is a valid preventative measure. Now will teens listen? We give advice on this forum countless times telling 18 years olds to wait until they are old enough. They will do whatever they want to. That is why I wrote "uneducated" teens. They are willing to ignore the risks (including shady ugls) by using whatever type of gear they get their hands on.

And being scammed is also a preventative measure. If you have been scammed out of a thousand dollars worth of fake HGH, I think you would change your tune. You would probably never attempt to buy HGH again. Preventative measure!!! I want a thousand dollars worth of steaks and chickens instead of fake HGH or real HGH for that matter!

I am not sure why you are bring up homebrew alcohol and cigarettes. Why would an uneducated teen want to homebrew alcohol when it is legally produced and he can obtain it from his parents or older brothers or whatever. And the same thing with cigarrettes, easily obtainable. And if these teens are serious about bodybuilding, then they shoudn't be using alcohol or cigarettes.

Not just steroids but all drugs, prostitution, any consensual sex act, gambling, and any other victimless crime should be legal.

I strongly agree with everything here except making steroids legal. I think there are too many dipshits out there who would ruin in. I don't think it should be a stage three narcotic, that's just rediculous.

It would be great to have AAS legal but the truth is that you have people that use juice and know what there doing they do there research and run it right. But you have a lot more people who just get on never get off, maybe for a month, hop back on a ridiculous cycle with No Aromatase inhibitor (AI), No post cycle therapy (pct). They end up on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) because their body can't naturally produce it anymore. It sucks becuase it would be great to have legal access to it but i believe like with everything else that this country has allowed people to have more freedom and with more freedom comes less morals.

I gotta meet you some day bro! A user name of halfwit who started tobacco at the age of 14 and alcohol consumption at 15, on roids, that stands 6'6" and almost 275 if I remember correctly, has to be one crazy motha fucka!

And from your posts I've read you are very well schooled on life and steroids. I see intelligence here, so your mom must have been at least a second cousin to your dad... Lol...

Don't know about you, but giving away freedoms is not the answer to society's woes. Have you seen the stupid laws in effect in NY? Obesity is an epidemic, so let's make it so you can't order a 2-liter of coca cola with your pizza. I agree that people in general may not know what's best for them, but I don't like the government deciding what I can or cannot do with my own body. It's the only thing in life you will ever TRULY own, as it is my property, I should be able to with it as I see fit.

Kids blowing up their HPTA is going to happen regardless if AAS is legal or not. I'd like to see more education put in place if it were legalized, but as we all know a TRILLION dollar pharmaceutical empire isn't going to let this happen especially since they have the multi-BILLION dollar supplement industry in tow. Morals aren't part of this discussion as they are subjective based on societal and cultural differences that few will share in complete unison. :p

My .02c :)

I read through all the comments and I like that we have different opinions on the matter and no one has lost their cool about the topic because it is sensitive to some people. Now as for my opinion, I do agree that there are way worse things out there than steroids such as tobacco, alcohol, prescription meds, etc. I honestly don't think they should make them legal. Not because I think they are worse than anything else, its because I would hate to go to my gym and see all these pimply faced kids with bitch tits walking around acting like bad asses. Thats the main reason for me. A lot people can get steroids but a lot of people also refrain because it is against the law. Not saying they can't find them anywhere, its just the fact that it would be on the news all the time like its not already. For example, steroids are legal and a guy taking them gets in to a bar fight with good reason. Media turns it in to roid rage automatically. A guy taking steroids has a heart attack, they will blame the steroids if he was taking them. To me, its like looking at a lamborghini. That is a bad ass car and when you see one, you take a second look because not a lot of people have them. Same goes for my body. Why would I want all the guys around me juiced up?? Lol.

On top of my point, there are just so many variables to control with steroids. Not saying there aren't as many with other things but there are quite a bit. So you take testosterone, you have to control estrogen. Have to watch kidney/liver values and blood pressure. Have to make sure you don't get ED and fucked up lipid levels. Have to donate blood to keep RBC's down. Need to inject Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) if you want kids down the road. Have to fight to keep acne off, thinning hair. Have to monitor thyroid levels and cortisol levels. Again, I am not arguing with anyone, just stating how I see it. I respect how everyone else sees it. I know a lot of drugs out there have a lot of side effects just like I listed above. The main reason I want it illegal is because I don't want to see more fucktards using it to sum it up. Lol. And honestly nothing pisses me off more than when I see new stories with misinformation on steroids. Pisses me off bad. People are so blind. And like was mentioned early, if you look at the large scheme of things, how many lives does alcohol usage claim each year. Perhaps steroids would make people more motivated to get healthier. Hell, did I just change my view in the last couple of minutes?? Fuck this is a tough question to answer. It could go either way. Lol.

Haha, thanks for the compliment...I think! We're all a little crazy sometimes... ;)

Yeah, I was the typical dumb kid that thought booze and tobacco were "cool" only to find out later in life that there are much better things to spend money on. Now if I can only quit chewing again once and for all. It's cutting into my AAS money! :p

Riprockwell: I agree, seeing the bloated little tards in the gym is annoying - I just look at it from the viewpoint that Big Brother should stay out of our lives as we're constantly giving up our freedoms due to the one or two retards that don't understand self-control. But then again, that's a slippery conversation that I'm sure will have some emotionally fueled opinions, so I'll leave it at that. :)

I completely agree. Hard to say 100% for me what I think the answer is. Definitely a tough debate for sure. Thats how it is. Takes a few retards to ruin it for all of us. I used to remember when you would pull up and push the button at the gas pump and pump first and then walk in and pay. Then a bunch of people with no character were doing drive-offs and now we all have to pre-pay. Sucks but I guess its just how the moral fiber of this country is becoming.

You may have changed my opinion with this comment alone. At my age I have no competition. That's all I would need, a bunch of horny, ripped old men hittin on the only hot chick in the bar!

I may have to reevaluate my position... Lol...

Haha. Hey its totally true. I travel a lot for work and I seem to think I am a decent looking guy. But when I go to small towns, more people check me out because I am new to town, etc. But when I head to a fancier city in California, I look around and realize I am the fattest guy in downtown because there is a lot of competition. Haha. Not that it matters because I am married but thats the main reason. I have been the fat guy on the beach before too. I have a friend who is anti-steroids and has been training for years and cannot come close to my strength levels at my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dosage. Lol. Pisses him off completely but makes me feel good. Lol.
