doc said I have thick blood

I was at the doctors office and he looks at my new blood work and tells me I have thick blood, so
I donated blood at the blood bank

I will be donating twice a year, why? benefits are: save someones life, lower cholesterol, thin the blood,
clense your organs.

2x per year may not be enough if your hemocrit is too high. What were the numbers on the hemocrit?

I'm getting a copy of my blood work as soon as the doc signs on it, some time by next week... I'll be posting the results.
but he did said it was really high, Zeek you told me every month I should donate blood, the blood bank says every 2 months is fine,

For many guys donating blood will bring down their hemocrit by 1 pt on avg. If your hemocrit is too high the doc can actually order a lab to drain you of some blood more often to bring the hemocrit into the safe zone.

Up to 49 is in range and 50-55 is high start getting over 57,58 and the risks become larger.

I'm sure you are already taking daily aspirin and fish oil which will help with maters but the only way to really lower it substantially is to give blood often.

Plz be aware that I've had friends over the years who decided they could basically draw out a pint of blood every 2 weeks from home. One of them is dead from a blood clot due to this practice. So plz don't even consider that as an option ;)

Not that you have considered it or would but just wanted to toss that out there

plz let me know as soon as you get the numbers!
