Doctor starting me on TRT. Don't know which method I should go with.

My doc wants me to start TRT and I know very little about it. I have read a lot of information on here, but I can see there is still so much to learn. He originally prescribed me Natesto but I can't get it filled because my insurance doesn't cover it. Insurance company gave me a list of alternatives and my doctor is pretty much ok with letting me decide which type of medicine (gels, injections, etc). My copays are the cheapest with the gels but I don't know how effective they are and I have small children at home so I worry about them being exposed. I see there is a striant, or I could go with injections. Any advice would be appreciated. Doc only likes injections if they are done at smaller doses and more frequently.

Oh and there are a variety of tablets and capsules that are covered as well. But, I hear they may be hard on the liver.

I tried two different types of gels. One of them gave me horrific side effects that almost ended my marriage, the other caused me to sweat out all the test the gel was trying to put in. Injections were a game changer.

injection is always the way to go so long as dosage and freqency is correct
