Probably just a "gateway" effect. The AAS does make us horny and for many of us gives us greater access due to desirability, but in the end, its our mental toughness and attitude that either allows us to stop or pull the trigger and cheat. However, by Gateway effect I mean that having accepted all the compromises in personal ethics typically involved in extended AAS use and secrecy associated with it, makes it easier to adopt or accept the compromises that come with cheating. Bigger, stronger, faster at any risk to suck every last bit of marrow from life...........not that much different from the high one must get from cheating and the mentality of more and better......at all times

Some of the key traits of A/Alpha personalities is risk taking, also thrill seeking. Followed by a long list of other traits that do, yes confirm men that use AAS are more likely to cheat than men who do not. Please keep in mind, heads of business, world leaders, rock stars, professional athaletes also for the most part (I hate to generalize because I know how wide open I leave myself) are also A personalities....classic over acheavers that constantly want and desire more than they have.....including thier body.
This has nothing to do with the use of AAS and everything to do with the way they are genetically wired.

This is where the herd thins. People with self control are usually (again with the generalizing) less likely to "over indulge". They also do not crave instant gradification to the extend of people with very little self control.

My final generalization; while yes there is a higher chance that a person that uses AAS is likely to "cheat" this is like saying everyone who drinks beer beats thier wife.

Well stated IMO, grind4it. I was basically saying the same thing regarding personalities and propensity toward using AAS in the first place, and the risk taking and need to achieve at all cost is the same mentality associated with cheating (and as you stated, the qualities of driven overachievers). Not really blaming the AAS proper, just a selected population of people. However, it remains a possibility that extended AAS use changes neuronal pathways, as it clearly does in hundreds of scientific studies in animals. Not only does it cause signing behaviour in birds and aggression in almost all species, but it has been linked to promiscuity directly in mammals. SO it is still somewhat possible that prolonged AAS use changes your physiology and neuroconnections in a subtle but real manner. Hell, 2 years of tren has basically made me forever unable to get fat. It effing changed my physiology for life. Lack of testosterone during a critical window of development in the first year of life has been linked directly to propensity towards being homosexual in humans

Totally true. Well stated. The Nerd effect also comes to mind as a spin off of what you just said. Poor sap in high school devoid of any tail or who was picked on for being wimpy, gets himself together later in life with AAS-assisted body and confidence, as well as maybe growing into his looks with age.....finally gets the opportunity to pull some major tail later in life and totally succumbs because he never lived to this extent before (but he married earlier and maybe even settled....yada yada yada, now runs around banging everything in sight). Pulling major tail later in life is exhilarating and almost as mentally gratifying as getting huge and ripped on AAS in the first place. Look at NBA players (or Tiger Woods), while this could be the Nerd effect for many of these guys, it is also basically having access to unlimited pune-tang, which is probably impossible to contain and not partake in......Why did God make pune-tang so awesome???

The truth of the matter is the majority of guys who use gear are insecure self indulging messes, another part are stricken with depression, bi polar, addictive personalities etc.

It's nothing to do with gear, it's the person and the types who end up using gear because they think it will make them tough or more attractive or whatever.

Honestly most guys on gear and in the gym are douche bags who think they are alpha males and think they are hard because they use gear. Again the majority may seem confident and well balanced but when you really look at many of these guys they are a mess.

I also know many who are great people and gear is just something they do, it doesn't define them as a person. I can tell most of the guys in a gym or club on gear, not because the look like it, but because the advertise it by trying to act tough or think they are big and puffed up. I may get shit for this but whatever, I've never cheated in my life, but my current gf is... well... her sex drive is very low. When we started dating it was no problem, but after 6 months, it was bad. I would get it maybe twice in a 3 wk time period, imagine being on cycle and having to deal with that shit. I've talked to her about it many times, until one day I told her if she doesnt fix her problem I will not think twice if the opportunity rises with someone else. I think that got her attention pretty well since things have been better. But my point is, I think it has to do with the situation you're in.

Personal observation I have been kicking around in my head for years. I am in my 40s as are most of my buddies. All the ones that do AAS have also cheated on their wives or GFs, while almost as a rule the non-AAS friends dont. Do you think AAS contributes? Maybe it is related to opportunity cause most AAS users have awesome bodies. Or, maybe it is related to a general liberal life attitude that most AAS users seem to have. Biologically, all the extra test might make us more sexually aggressive as well, as shown in animal studies, hence more desire to tap as much strange as possible. I really do think there is link between extended AAS usage and promiscuity.

IMO Personally I can't stand any fucker that cheats on his GF or wife because clearly you have fucked up morals or none at all!!!

You are right, cheating is dishonesty and it is wrong, no matter what the reasons, especially if you are married. However, there are no absolutes in life. One of my 40 year old+ buddies has been married for 15+ years, and his marriage has changed over the years to the point where he and his wife are no longer really in love, nor do they have sex, but they have kids and financially cannot afford to divorce. Not my place to judge him after he stepped out and sought love in the arms of another. Life is complicated, and while he was wrong, he made a choice to not just give up on all that life had to offer. Many other scenarios as well that married people find themselves in later in life. The statistics are that over 50% of marriages fail, and more than 50% of those have infidelity, so this shit is real and it happens to almost everyone. Just saying dont judge hence you might one day be judged....trust me dude. Being in my mid 40s and having lots of friends, I have seen almost everything related to relationships over the past 2 decades, both guys on AAS and not, as well as hardliners like yourself.....and anyone can succumb. AAS guys do seem more likely to cheat though....guarantee it if there was a way to conduct a scientific social survey.
