Does anyone advice on taking Steroids for the brain?

The Man with the Plan
I have heard that Provigil, a pill created to treat narcolepsy, can give one the mental boost to get ahead in life, is this true? are there any bad side effects?

This is a forum for anabolic androgenic steroids.

However, Modafinil has been shown to prolong exercise time to exhaustion while performing at 85% of VO2max and also reduces the perception of effort required to maintain this threshold. Modafinil was added to the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List in 2004 as a prohibited stimulant.

There's a vast list on adverse effects. None of which seem like they make the juice worth the squeeze.

Low levels of test can cause brain fog. If you were to correct said deficiency, you should see a boost in mental acuity. Other than that, i couldn't tell ya.

all hormonal and synthetic formules to boost the celerity of cerebral fonction give a results followed after a few time with the reverse effect.

only use of mineral, like magnesium, potassium, fats like linoleic-acid can give a constant help to keep concentration, mnemonic capacitys at their maximum. but it need constant stimulation : sports, healthy diet, reading, are among the good stimulation your brain need. other stimulations used: music, movies, cooking, playing, are also good stimulations, if not excess.

avoid, smoking, alcool, eat to much, rest too much, these are poison.

some cause of deficiency are, hanger, stress, too much salt, too much sugar, missing to sleep enough, talking too much with a stupid woman... needless => f*ck her, that's they will waiting for, seeing you sexy brain excit out your nose.

HAHA what does that even mean!?

English is kane s 2 or 3 rd language.

I used to be issued blister packs of Modafinil for extremely long periods of time where awareness of your surroundings was very, very important. Think it was French.

I know, I'm just busting him

I've yet to see any lasting results from nootropics, and I've tried quite a few as I'm a near-40 year old back in college, competing with kids half my age. I assume that's what you're referring to at least. Aniracetam did seem to help with memory a little, but given the doses recommended and cost to run it with choline - I abandoned it.

On a positive note; caffeine has been shown to aid with cognitive abilities and is much cheaper. Obviously moderation is key.

My .02c :)

I've read Nuvigil is popular on Wall Street these days. There are non-prescription nootropics too. Aniracetam is supposed to help with concentration and reading. Pramiracetam is supposed to help with speaking, you think of things quicker.

Expanding on what Kane said, about 60% of Americans have magnesium deficiency. I haven't had a single headache, migraine, or seizure (I'm epileptic) since I started supplementing magnesium. Magnesium-L-Threonate breaks the blood-brain barrier and should help with cognition more than regular magnesium.

Magnesium? just up your Vit C, increase Iron absorbency, this will solve those problems

yes magnesium is a nice help for neurones also a good amount of l-trypophane. is a good supplementation of corse, vit c is a must.

Concentra.... Friends of mine studying for their professional exams swear by it.. they say they feel like bradley cooper in limitless

Take his advice, don't talk to the stupid women, just fuck them :)

I find that green tea really boosts my cognition. I can think much more clearly after consumption. I attribute that to the caffeine and L-theanine found in the green tea. Do some research on those two compounds, they are natural and effective. I'm sure you already know a good amount about caffeine.

Stay away from it if you can. Yeah stimulants such as provigil, concerta, and adderall sound great. First few times you take them you'll feel amazing, able to finish any task no matter how boring and repetitive it might be.

You quickly develop a dependance. Not so much physical, but more mental. You start feeling like you can't do work without it. Then your muscle starts wasting away more rapidly. Working out on it is a no no. Puts too much stress on your heart, eventually leading to left ventricular hypertrophy.

People under estimate the nootropic power of coffee and green tea. Fix any vitamin deficiencies as well. Those drugs are powerful, but only a temporary fix. Like bushleague said, you will probably start needing them. I' dont have any experience with those drugs though, personally, but like i said, green tea gives me a noticeable cognitive edge.(I drink it unsweetened and plain, 1-3 cups fasted)

The amount of adderall consumed by pharmacy students on my campus during finals week is absurd. You walk into the bathrooms and you can actually smell the metabolic byproducts as they change the smell of urine.
