Donated Blood yesterday....
Last one was 3 months earlier to the day!
Hemo going in this test was 146 G/L and HCT 43 %....
On TRT, and noticed that my Ferritin in Nov's lab was 42 ug/L
31-79 ug/l is marked as "reduced iron stores" according to my lab,
80-300 ug/l is marked as "normal Iron stores".
I'm thinking of taking a small iron supplement, like iron bysglicinate with meals...is this ok ?
My hemo is not out of control. 10 months on TRT at 180 mg/week took my hemo to 165 G/L and 48% HCT once....
never donated all that time. I might not need frequent blood donation.
I worked out before yesterday's blood donation and had breakfast before obviously....
4.5 hours later did the blood donation. I did eat some granola bars after workout for glucose...
I noticed my heart beating faster during blood donation and a little weak toward the end...
not fainting or anything, but I think my blood glucose dropped.
I notice if I don't eat protein, and well while on TRT blood glucose does not stay stable.
I could go 8-9 hours without eating prior to TRT....
any input from anyone on this?
