donating blood on cycle?

since i'm on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) i donate blood every 3 months to keep my rbc down and i'm about to do a blast for 5 months of test / 400 mg week and i was wondering in 3 months would it be ok for me to donate? i was wondering if it's possible for my iron to be too high or bp or something and they might reject me (hasn't happened so far, have donated twice) but, i'm only on 200mg/wk not sure what will happen on 400/wk. however i figured if i wait until after cycle my numbers might be even worst, correct? because of waiting so long without donating?

Every 58 days is the RC standard. I have not been turned down yet ;-)

If you're taking iron and running testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I'd drop it now. My testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) guy and Doc both told me find Iron Free Multi's and Minerals. I tell you it helped.

Ok great, yes I'm going through RC as well. I'm not taking any iron supplements I just read about getting the multi's w/o iron last night so just ordered those and will take those. I wasn't sure if the test itself will increase the iron or whatever so just wanted to check on that.

thanks

Well blood has protein in it, just eat whatever protein you may have lost, it's not really a big deal :P

I always wonder when I donate if some old guy gets my blood and has his first erection in 5 years, not even sure if thats possible but its a funny thought lol

i've read people on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum say they separate and clean everything out of the blood. don't think they just send it over to somebody as-is

Is this true? That they clean out the blood of things? Like too much T etc...?

what you think they are just going to take your word for it and just start pumping a patient with your untested blood? Even if they don't clean it out, they'll just throw it away if there's anything off. They aren't going to just blindly start pumping people up with blood, that's crazy.

thanks for input i just gave blood last sunday and they asked no less than about 10 times have i taken any steroids or injected anything. my wife was was with being asked the same questions so i couldnt bail out cause she would start a round of the worst interogation ever. i was nervous as shit so now i quess nothing to worry about if they test blood they will just toss it out. cool.

Nope that is not true.

I donate blood 3-4x a year to keep my hematocrit down (often too high). They do not test for testosterone, nor do they have a way to remove if from your blood. They indeed just test for pathogens (HIV, HepC, syphilis, etc), and if it clears all the path stuff, they just give your blood to whomever. A little extra kick of testosterone will be of no harm whatsoever. You should have no qualms of conscience. Trust me. You are still helping people out, and they will get a pretty good kick of red blood cells!!!
