Dread Pirate Roberts changed my original post. Please delete the thread.
I will no longer be posting in the forum. I was only trying to share information about a well-known testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) specialist's, Dr. Crisler's, current protocol for TRT. I guess some people can't tolerate differing opinions. It would seem that certain posters on this board have an agenda. I won't waste anymore time over here.
He often posts in the forum below:
In a recent post, he said he STILL recommends transdermals like Testim and Androgel more than injections because they improve sexual function more than injections.
In my experience, Testim worked well for me. I don't have kids, so accidental exposure was not an issue. The smell didn't bother me either (most chicks dug it), and it maintained my levels. My biggest issue was the stickiness. Also, it takes forever to apply. It took me at least ten minutes, and I still had to wear silky, underarmour-like t-shirts to keep from sticking to my clothes.
I would switch back after my shoulder heals (rotator cuff surgery), but my insurance sends cyp and syringes to my door for free whereas I have to pay a 20 dollar per month co-pay for two tubes of Testim. Also, it takes about two minutes to give myself a shot once a week versus ten minutes a day to apply sticky Testim.
I'm probably in the minority, but 125mg of Test Cyp per week makes me feel and function exactly the same so far as two tubes of Testim per day. For me...the gels work fine. It's just a matter of convenience. It's more convenient to have sore butt cheeks than to feel sticky all the time and to have to rub and rub and rub that stuff in.
