Draw with one gauge & pin with another

Hi All!

Newb here. Searched the forums and read about those that draw with a larger needle (18g) and pin with a smaller one (25g). When you do this do you draw with the 18g then switch the needle only to 25g, express to get air out of needle then pin? Sorry if this is a dumb question but want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. Right now I'm doing Test Cyp in the quad with a 23g 1-1/2 inch needle but plan to go to 25g, 1 inch. Wasn't sure if I could draw with the 25g as it seems difficult with the 23g right now.
Thanks all!

Yep, just swap the pins.

Cyp flows well enough through a 25g pin.
Just warm the bottle for a few seconds in your hands before trying to draw.
It's slow, but it's not bad.

I always warm the syringe before I inject, but warming the bottle could do the same thing.

Draw with a 20, inject with 25

Uneeded extra steps. Just draw and pin with a 23. My eurochem test needed to be warmed but my pinnacle draws at room temp no problem.

Personally, I've found it a better overall technique to draw w and 18gauge and pin with a 23guage. I switch needles after drawing because it dulls the sharpness going through the rubber stopper and 2 just because I don't want a foreign substance (like rubber) to possibly get stuck in the pin and end up in my body. My first cycle I just ordered a ton of 23 gauge needles and pinned and drew with 23s. Took longer than I wanted to draw so I tried drawing with 18s. Love it. I can pull and get bubbles out in less than 30sec where as w the 23s it was taking me about 2 min. I then take the syringe and hold it under hot water for a couple mins. Pip is very minimal.

Pins are dirt cheap, it's worth it imo

Purchase barrels with 18 gauge attached and 23-25g needles separately. That way you only make one switch.

That's one good thing about being in Oz. All needles, syringes, swabs etc. are free. Walk in, take what you want and as much as you want, walk out.

They're free in the US as well, you just have to go to the right places. I just prefer to order online.

That's news to me. But it's not like I'm over there to know any better or bother looking into it. It makes me wonder why people always complain about not being able to find what they need. I was actually under the impression it was easier to source gear than plungers in the States!

It can be harder in that some states will not sell to you OTC syringes even though there is a federal program in place to allow this. Most folks that want free pins go to certain places that offer needle exchanges. Online is the best method in my opinion as we don't have to deal with the ignorant retards at the counter giving us the 3rd degree followed by 20 questions because they think we're going to inject heroin with an 18g 1" needle. I have a script for needles and I still have a hard time getting it filled at pharmacies without abundant amounts of crap. It's funny how needles have such a strong stigma here, that's for sure.

OP: I do as many others in this thread do; I draw with an 18-20g and pin with a 25g 1". Fast draws, sharp and small diameter needle for injections. :)

Wow. I walk in, tell them what I want and walk out with two big bags of goodies. The only question they ask is what your age group is. They take one look at you and know exactly what you're using them for so they'll usually just have a friendly chat while they're grabbing everything off the shelf! I'm not sure how they treat the junkies though.

Yeah, pretty much EVERYONE here is a "junkie" in the eyes of a pharmacy clerk. At least you guys have that going for you! I hear customs is a royal pain in the ass though.

I just received my order from RUI. Used a 25g to draw and pin. Other than the longer time needed to draw and inject, all went smoothly. May stick with this as I like the 25g for pinning but I do have 23g as well. Thanks all!
