drinking alcohol while on accutane is it dangerous or a bad idea? i know its bad for ur liver both of them... but it wont kill u right?

and how long should u wait once u come off accutane, before u go into the sun / solarium again?

How much accutane? In general, I'd advise against it. Accutane is pretty serious, especially in big doses.

Accutane is a harsh drug, but you can go in the sun/tanning. Just be aware that you may experience photo-sensitivity, but its something you can feel out.

when I was on accutane (60mg/day) my derm said it was ok to have a few drinks once in awhile.. But my liver values were also quite good.. I'd imagine some people would be advised not to drink at all while on it.

I ask that cause some people I know have had better success with low dose long term accutane, like 10-20mg ED for 3 months.

docs like to prescribe 60-80 ED for like 6 weeks, in theory of high dose short duration, doesnt make sense to me though.

i did 20mg ed for 1 - 1.5 weeks then 40mg a day for 1 week then 60mg a day for 1 week then stopped cus couldnt handle it lol, but it cleared up everything i had or most of it anyway so thats the main thing least it worked lol

Back in the day my doc put me on for 6 months with blood drawn twice a month. That sh!t is no joke. Still have joint cramps 9 years later.
