Dumbbell routine and training advice please

I have gotten some advice in the diet section and I would now like to get some in the work out section. I prefer to work out at home (distance
to gym and schedule issues) and I really like dumbbell workouts. Could I get some advice on an effective dumbbell routine? I see some
good routines in the stickys but they are not all dumbbell. At this time my goal is to become more lean before doing a cycle this summer. But
before I do that I want to know exactly what I am doing. Then a bulking cycle? Also, is it possible to over train? I have read it is and it is not.
If you give advice, could you include how many sets of each exercise? Thanks!

Wow a lot of questions. You can do many things with dumbells, and many is an understatement. I would look at sites that are not AAS related for routine info. Stick to basics like curls, bench press, and even leg curls laying down. If the dumbells are heavy you can do some deadlifts and awkward squats with them. Cardio with dumbells in each hand is good also. I wouldn't worry about leaning out too much before the cycle. Just make sure your bf isn't too high because you will put on some weight in the form of muscle, fat, and water. Why only dumbells?

I was given a cable machine a long time ago and that thing sucks. I never feel sore afterward. I also ended up with some dumbbells and something just clicked and it's what I like. It is something I can do in my basement and it doesn't take up much room. I also feel like I get a much better workout from dumbbells. I have been working out for a year or so but I didn't have a specific goal; just worked out because I liked it. I recently had to start TRT, which is why I joined this site, so I thought I would take things a step further and do a cycle in the near future. I just want a better foundation to work on. My main question is: How many sets are too many or too few? How many times a week do successful people work out every day or every other day? Thanks

As far as your training load it all depends on how your body feels. On cycle I can train hard for 3 days in a row and recover fine, but if you are natural I don't recommend it. Maybe try two days on one day off. I keep my working sets at around 22-28. I have gone higher but it is not necessary. I know that you like the dumbells, me too, but a gym membership would really help you out even a cheap ten dollar a month type place just to do some different stuff.

I'm on a decent TRT plan so I'm not sure if that is considered natural but I feel great and have not problem with a good 1 hr workout. I feel like I could work out every day but I keep reading if you over train you won't grow. Do you mean 22-28 working sets combined from each exercise?
