Early morning 1 meal cycle

Only time I can hit the gym is early morning 5:00. I am up at 4:00 before workout -2 scoops and 3/4 cup of oats.
And after workout on the way to work, I have my first meal and the rest follow pretty much every 2.5 hours now
my question is this ok because its pretty hard at 4:00 to start mealing up..if thats a word lol. Something is better
then nothing.

Some guys don't eat before their early morning workouts, so as long as you have energy to complete your workout, you should be fine. If you're making good gains and your overall daily intake is good, I wouldn't worry much about it.
 
Just like Kaname said, some ppl prefer to train fasted. If you do train COMPLETELY fasted, this makes the PWO meal much more important as you have no food in your system being digested to release nutrients. You're taking oats and whey so you have no problem there.
 
Dont worry about it bro your body still has food to fuel of off from the day before. If anything I would drink some BCAA Pre/Dureing your training.
 
Yea I eat very light before workout too. Just enough to give me energy to get thru the gym then I eat a good meal afterwards.
 
I use to workout on a empty stomach but, someone knocked some sense into me... I eat oats and cottage cheese about a hour before I go now. very little still because i don't like doing cardio when my tummy is fully.. So I eat enough just to hold me over then, I pound back the food like a fat kid likes cake!
 
Oh, and I forgot to add that after my cardio, I drink a shake.. Half a scoop but, it's something in my system.. then another scoop with a bar after my workout...
