Endurance/Focus in the gym

Brat

PiNCHe GRiNGa!
Hey y'all...I was wondering what you guys use for endurance/focus when you work out?? Has anyone tried products like Biotest's Spike, SciVation's Xtend or Neurostim +C, or anything like that? One of my friends said to try creatine (!?), but I don't want to retain water or anything right now...

Buy some CEE Creatine to avoid the water retention. Do a search about CEE, I'm to tired to explain the difference and what brand to buy.

Try L-Tyrosine. It can be found in bulk for very cheap, PM me if you wish. I hated Neurostim, the taste alone made it not worth the $$$, not to mention I felt nothing from it. Tyrosine on the otherh and has given me energy and focus as its a precursor to epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, and thyroxine.

helps depression too ..

whats a good dosage of it to take.. would a local health store have it?

another l-tyrosine advoate right here. I love the stuff. Take it with caffeine pre workout (if you want to use caffiene). I use 1g. Yes local healthfood store would have it.

I take it everyday, whether I train or not. 1g is right on the money.

i went out and picked up some of the pills.

they are 500 mg capsules. i just read the back of my protein powder, and it says there is 2.5 g of l-tyrosine in it, for every 100 g of protein.

would this be too much?

anyways, im going to try the stuff out. how long before my workouts should i take the pills?

thanks

Tyrosine is naturally occuring so its negative effects are a bit hard to reach. Ive read some people consuming up to 3g in a 3 hour period, this is called "super dosing" it, but I get the desired effects from 1g.

Id throw a gram in my pre-workout shake, thats what Ive been doin for awhile and like it a lot.

Say what? Neurostim HAS L-tyrosine in it. heh

Not sure how you say you feel nothing from a tyrosine-containing product, then go on to recommend tyrosine. Not tryin to be a prick, but that just amused me. :)

Thats not all it has in it.... Tyrosine is the only product in Neurostim that I stand by, so frankly it's fairly easy to recommend Tyrosine even if its in Neurostim, well easy to those who follow along.....

I'm aware of that, and I'm a tyrosine user as well.

Neurostim has a healthy enough dose of tyrosine in it that you wouldn't "feel nothing" from it if you're a tyrosine responder.

Nevertheless, I prefer to buy the ingredients separately in powder form myself.
