Acne is a common side effect of Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) usage. I recently posted this for some men, but I thought I would share it with the ladies. I've fought acne all my life and this works wonders for me.
Faye's Prescription for Acne
B5 - At the beginning and end of every cycle to PREVENT acne, but can also be used to help with existing acne.
5 grams/day (yes, grams) of B5 for 1 week
2.5 grams/day of B5 for 1 week
1 gram/day of B5 for 1 week, then continue as needed
AM, Post-workout, and PM before bed.
1. Clean affected areas with mild cleaner, like Aveeno soap, or gel cleaner for combination skin, I use L'Oreal foaming gel cleanser for combination skin (it's green).
2. Take a cotton ball and soak with Isopropyl Alcohol and swap affected areas (kills bacteria).
3. Use generous amount of Tea Tree oil on affected areas. You can pic some up at your local health food store. It smells funny, but it promotes healing and kills bacteria
4. Neosporin Antibacterial Creme to help heal wounds faster and reduce scarring, esp if you've popped them (which, of course you shouldn't).
5. Use moisterizer as normal (to prevent drying from alcohol etc)
Be faithful to this regimine for at least two weeks. If you do not see an improvement in two weeks, make an appointment with a dermatologist.
