feeling a plateau

wanted to throw this out there. Been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injectable for about 20 months. Was on Androgel for 3 years before that but I do not consider that TRT. Once I got a good baseline on dose etc. felt great. Recently like the last month, I have been feeling a bit flat. little less motivation, a bit more stressed, insomnia picked up a bit. What I would consider signs of low T.

Now I want to add, I have had some shit go down, surgery, dog died etc. but all of this happened 2+ months ago. Physically I felt fine when shit was happening and I was going through it. A month after I started loosing "the feeling"I had a blood test everything was fine, in fact it was 48hrs after my last T shot and it was screaming high, (1800) as it peaked in the bloodstream. I really dont seem to be depressed, not like I experienced before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) anyway. And am getting over this stuff emotionally, but my "feel goodness" is not back yet, but my attitude etc. is good to go,

Am I just used to my levels now? Ideas?

I hope that post makes sense. Seems a bit confusing but dont know how else to put it. Ask away, I will try to answer and as always thanks for youre thoughts

SHBG probably got driven up with estrogen stress. Chip's doc can help. You can have a 1800 level T like you said you have and still feel like crap due to this.

I will read up on prolactin, not sure if that was checked or what it is. E2 was checked and AOK
yes on Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and HCG. still blowin loads still have good drive, but really some of you guys are really hurtin those gals.

I am good for 4 x a week with or without my girls help

You made an effort to point out that your dog passed away which, to me, indicates you were close with him/her. I'm guessing for the first few weeks you were in shock, unable to experience the depressive downside to a loss such as this. Maybe you have moved passed that phase and currently in the depression phase.

All I want to say is that feeling less motivated, stressed, etc., is not always due to hormonal issues but from environmental factors. Especially in this case; your symptoms seem to have manifested around the time of your surgery and the passing of your dog. Maybe this phase isn't as prominent because you are on TRT.

Are you taking any meds from the surgery? Maybe there are some side-effects from the meds? What kind of surgery?

In a nutshell, yes. You have adjusted to your new equilibrium.

In the beginning, the feeling of improvement was so pronounced that it seemed like "night" and "day" from where you were with your low T levels.

Now, you have adjusted psychologically and physiologically to your feeling and it is no longer something that you notice everyday because you are some distance from what it feels like to feel crappy.

I went through the same thing a few weeks back. I am almost 9 months into my HRT. I've noticed that same thing although my levels (at last test last week) were 1446 ng/dl. All my other levels were unchanged from the last several months - LH, FSH, E, ect were all great.

The temptation here is to get some extra gear and bump for 10-12 weeks. I would caution you on this. Remember, you may blow a good thing with your MD if you do that and muck up your blood work.

Regards.

good points I was wondering if it is not somewhere between the two points.

Honestly, I was closer to the dog then anything else period, I was really upset. I really feel that I have been moving forward though better then I thought I would. It has been almost three months and the 1st month I was shattered. I am off of all post surgery meds and done with physical therapy. It has been 6 + months. Back in the gym, proggress has slowed now. I cant go into all the other shit that has gone down since last spring but lots of negative shit. It has seemed to stop now Dog was the last blow thank goodness. It is just this last month I am feeling like I am feeling. so that is why I asked.
Yes upping the dose, sounds great but not where I am headed. I know when I got 500mg shots I felt great, but only got them 1x per month. (ignorant dr) But I am on a great testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) now.

Also I do believe that going under general antestics can fuck up your T. WHich is another reason to get your blood work done before and after.

I see more and more evidence of this the more people I meet. I wonder how long after the surgery negative effects can start.

Loosing a good Dog is like loosing a good friend, maybe your a little depressed bro. I'd stil get some blood work and double check estro/free test.

Last time I lost a dog I went out and bought a new one right away, seemed to help a lot.
