well guys...i havent been around here in over 6 months.... about almost a year ago i got a shoulder injury from a fight i got into.... i tried getting back in the gym 2 months after and it just isnt the same ...anyways....all this time i didnt know what was up with my shoulder until a couple of weeks ago .... the MRI read that all my ligaments are in tact......but the thing thats fucked up with the shoulder is that something with 2cm of a bone (cartlidge) is torn/broken or what ever.... i used to think it was my ligaments that were messed up.... and my shoulder would come out of place ...but i guess it doesnt come out of place....what it is basically the the cartlidge thats fucked up in there would make my arm get stuck and my arm would be stiff and i wouldnt be able to move it and when i put it back some big ass cracks go on inside......but yeah ..... anyone else have an injury like mine??? im being sent to an orthopedic soon and im gunn have to get surgery...anyone have an idea what they might do? i need to get my ass back in the gym ASAP

my shoulder has always bothered me but have always been to afraid to go to dr. about it...... most likely they'll just take a lazer and clean it up..... should heal up pretty quick..... be back in the gym in no time

I am in the same boat as you. Originally my doctor thought I tore my rotator cuff muscle (subscap). Well, I moved away to school so I decided to visit the Sports Medicine Clinic here. I was going to physio and the therapist figured that everything wan't adding up to a RC tear, so I went for a visit to one of the sports docs. She and my therapist talked for a bit and now they both think I have cartilige damage in my shoulder joint (labrum). I have been referred to a surgeon and I am also waiting on an MRI appt.

I hope when I go see the surgeon, he decides to do a scope. I don't want to wait for the MRI appt because that will take unywhere from a couple months to a year to get done.

Good luck with your injury and keep us updated on your progress.

My left shoulder is also messed up. I had an MRI a couple months ago on it and I have what they call Type2 Chromium (whatever the hell that means), which in Lemans terms means I have a weird shaped bump or spur on the bone that can make it jump track and dislocate. I dislocated badly about 5 years ago and have been fine up until a few months back when I got tendinitis and bricitis in shoulder. I need orthroscopic surgery to grind down the bone but I'm gonna wait until its absolutely neccesary. Your not alone brother. Good luck.

I fucked up my left shoulder playing football and it never really healed right. It was a "seperation", but at first it came out of place and my football coach put it back in so I could keep playing (painful).

If you look at me without a shirt you can see that theres a bone by my shoulder that sticks out wayyyy more on the left side, sucks ass. Doesn't seem to affect me too much in the gym or anything though, so I guess im pretty lucky.
