i will be doing first inject of 210mg(1ml) test cyp on monday. So i have to draw with a 22 guage needle and inject with a 25 guage needle.needle is 1 and 1/2 inches long. wheres the best place to inject? thigh?butt? i do a lot of cardio and dont want to be sore.also should i put needle in half way or all the way?

Most people begin injecting in the quadriceps (thigh). IMT website has tutorials on how to do it. Quad is a nice big muscle that is easy to reach and see what you are doing. Start there and then try other spots if you want to once you get the hang of it.

You will probably be a little sore the first time or too. But nothing that will hold you back from activities.

I inject with a 1" needle and push it in all the way. You may want to try that instead of a 1/2" needle to make sure it gets deep into the muscle. Regardlesss, push it in all the way for either of these sizes.

Remember to aspirate when you inject. Good luck.

yeah start with quads, and isnt 1ml 200mg and not 210. Sit down when you do it the first few times in case you get dizzy and its easier to cocentrate. I would also opt for a 1in and go all the way vs going half with a 1 1/2. I might advise bumping down to a 23 gauge the first few times as its quicker and might be easier the first few times. At least for me I like to leave the needles in there for 15 seconds or so after its done, ive pulled it out to early and have had the test spit back out. I also run the area for 5-10 second afterwards. I use a 23gauge all the time and was sore the first few times after that nothing.

Dude no way put it in your leg as a first timer. You get allergic reation or it shit gear you leg gonna blow up. Put it in your ass same place all of us started at. Get online itll explain angle, lenght etc. Sucbcataneous, and intramuscalur. Sub in fat , intra in muscle. But for ass i use a 23 ga pin 1 1/2 long straight in. If it hurts there it not so noticable but still gonna hurt. Its test cyp low mg you be just fine wont feel a thing

aspirate is sticking it in and pulling the plunger out to see if you got blood or a vein. I wouldnt worry about leg. But would agree ass is the least painful. reason i see leg, is you can sit down and see it and dont have to use a mirro or wrench around.

so is aspirating important? also so glute is less painful but thigh is easier? i just want to be able to do squats and cardio lol

Don't worry about being sore. It is a little needle. Man up.

Do quads first time so you csn see what you are doing. Everything is in front of you and no contorting. Once you are more comfortable then try glutes and other spots if you like.

Yes, aspirating is important. You don't want to inject the Test straight into a blood vessel. You want it to go into the muscle.

There are good videos on youtube. Look them up.

also it is possible you could get really sore on your first injection it's because you're injecting in "virgin muscle" just letting you know incase you get it that you don't get scared or something and wonder if you did something wrong. it's more likely this would happen in your quads the first time, happens to a lot of people (has happened to me as well), it doesn't have to do with the needle size it's because it's the first time the oil is being injected into your muscle. it's less likely for you to feel this in a glute injection but, I think some people still do, depends. I didn't feel soreness in my glute but, it is difficult to reach around etc. and I was shaking the first time I was doing it but, everything went fine.

These days I don't do glutes because of one time I drew blood and I started getting less careless as time went on and not paying attention I guess and hit it too high that's the reason I drew blood. I just rotate quads, delts (best spot for most people) and triceps (don't try this yet) and use slin pins for all shots. I still get soreness sometimes especially in quads so it's something that you will just have to get used to (but I just started these recently), I try to stick with delts because don't feel anything there but, it varies from person to person.

I aspirate as well, but you will find people that dont. And some will say it creates more soreness. Good think about glutes and quads is there is few blood vessles compared to others. I agree and reccomend sitting on the first few ones and doing quads is a must. It wont hurt that much, no more than other shots youve had. And at least you can see whats happening and can concentrate. ANd if you do get queezy or light headed your sitting. When you put it in, it should be something between pushing and kind of like throwing a dart. You dont want to go to slow. You can always get an orange and practice on inserting on that. After the first 2-3 it shouldnt be a problem.

There is conflicting evidence regarding aspiration. I have seen many medical professionals who do and others dont. Considering we are using thick oils I would say yes you should aspirate. Make sure you are hitting the anatomic location for the muscle you choose. Look at anatomy diagrams for nursing or medical professionals for intramusclular injections. Good Luck!

yeah the key here is medical professionals if they don't do it they must have enough experience and knowledge to not to have to do it, i'm assuming most of us are not medical professionals for that reason i would advise to do it as a lot of people here (including myself) eventually end up drawing blood or some inject in veins etc.

quad is safer than glute's as far as hitting things you dont wanna be hitting

rule for quad is ... hands width above knee , outer half of quad, you can look it up.

Lot's of choices. We have all been there. We were all nervous before that first pin. All the information is here. Just pick an approach and do it. Injecting with a 23 ga is not bad at all and 25 ga is even smaller. Don't worry about post injection pain. It's not a big deal and there is nothing you can do about it anyway. I pinned my quad first so I could sit and be comfortable and not be so shaky. Just get it done and all this will be behind you ... perhaps literally. If you are working with IMT they will walk you through the process and make sure you are doing OK.

This question comes up often. It would be nice for the board to put up a sticky with a GOOD explanation, step by step, with a good video. Remember to keep your working surface clean, and have alcohol wipes and wipe off the top of the vial and your injection spot. Also remember to dispose of your "sharps" in a safe manner recommended by your county solid waste or health department (it varies depending on where you live).

Try to look up other strings on this forum with advice. There are some utube videos also, some better than others, but I've yet to see one that's REALLY good.

Good luck!

Throwing in the trash is highly irresponsible but I am guessing some do it here. But if you are legally on it then your doctor will probably give you the bin just like mine does. or I am sure your county health department would accept them as well.

I've been doing quads for a couple months. I draw with an 18 gauge and inject with a 25 gauge. No pain. Jabbing a 1.5 inch needle all the way in is a freak thing to do the first time but it's pretty painless.
