First Timer needs some advice

Hi guys,

Before i give my stats, let me first start by saying i realize that there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained about steroids and their uses. I, By no means, claim to completely understand what im delving into here. I do, however, have an interest in how they can benefit me and firstly, i suppose, if its the right move for me.

About one year ago, i weighed 358lbs at 6'4
All of the dramatic weight-loss fillers aside, im now 219 at 6'4
Im a very healthy individual now with only a couple exceptions. My knees are a little on the weak side from being so heavy, and im recovering from a slight delt pull.
Other than that im in decent standing condition.
Im unsure of what else i need to be providing to get accurate advice, but let me know and ill post it.
Id like to start exploring the idea of a mild steroid to boost my training and take my body to the next level. Any advice or suggestion will be taken with gratitude
Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the natural weight loss man - that says a lot about your dedication. I suggest you post up what your goals are at this point and what you've 'thought' about doing in order for people to tell you if that's the correct direction to go for your goals.

Damn nice job on the weight loss bro!

The first thing to begin with is how long have you been training? Your body may not be at the stage yet where it would be advisable to start steroids.

Also... any recent labs?

Damn guys, thanks so much for the quick replies. Let me make sure i give back the respect and answer everyone's Q'S.
Im 25.
Ive been training at a high intensity for around 6 months now. Prior to that it was mostly just fat loss i was concerned with.
My goal is to gain a fair amount of muscle and stay lean. (sounds so generic)
I suppose what im saying is that im not looking to be a bodybuilder or a powerlifter, im looking to attain a muscular physique that matches my height. I feel there is such a limit, but not exactly sure how to get there. Ive been told that what im going for it more of a defined and massive (in context of course) athletic body.
I feel like even though ive only been training for a short period of time, ive made some decent gains and as they slow, im looking for a way to push my body to its full potential.
Again, i wont be the butt-hurt guy if im told that im down the wrong path completely, this is primarily a peek into the unknown for me. Baiting for knowledge?
Right now my main focus is my legs, though. My entire upper body has grown a fair amount (wow, and in a good way this time! Sans cupcakes) but i have to be honest here, i think i have chicken leg syndrome.. No matter what i do, squat heavier, more often, less often, different movements etc my legs will not retain any more mass then they currently have.
Also i wanted to thank you all for your kind words about my accomplishments, and yeah, its been tough, but its behind me, and as long as i stay focused and stay hungry (pun...maybe?) i know ill keep moving forward. Anyone who says the occasional pat on the back doesn't help is lying, though. haha

You may want to continue on the natural path for awhile. Steroids will give you increased muscular strength, but your tendons lag behind. What happens in many cases is strong muscles with weak tendons, which = injury. At the age of 25 you have the ability to grow a great deal with diet and exercise without the greatly increased risk of severe injury.

You also did not mention if you have recent labs? When you've been heavy for awhile, your body tends to convert much more natty test to estrogen, which will lower test levels. This does reverse in many cases as you lose weight, but it's not guaranteed. You really need recent labs to even begin determining what your next step will be.

after such a short time in the gym, all you need to do to break a 'slow down' is to switch up your routines. Guys that see great gains in the first few months of hitting the gym tend to stick with what works, but ultimately thats the wrong approach as your body gets used to it. You need to continuously shock your body and mix up your workouts.

Also, up to now you've obviously focussed on low cals to lose weight. Now you need to up those clean cals above maintenance range to see muscle growth, and hit that iron hard with low volume and heavy weight.
