Welcome Wagon
FRAT: TRT Supps, High Cholesterol, Maximus

I finally got my physical done (first finger in my ass I've had) and my PSA and all other tests are fine expect for high cholesterol.

I am sending my info to Chip/Maximus in just a minute and am ordering my suppliments to go along with it. Some I am getting are to lower my cholesterol and I am leary about other because currently I have been having bad general anxiety and panic attacks. Had an "ECHO" done today and am waiting for the results. If good, then I'll start working through my exercise anxiety that leaves me short of breath. Lets hope it's all good.

Anyway, I have the usual garlic, physillium husk, flaxseed, green tea, fish oil, red yeast rice, niacin, saw palmetto and a good multi.

I found CJW's post about DHEA and Preg with the sprays, but noticed dhea is included as part of the current supp's, but also they can cause heart palps. Thats something I can't bear right now until I get past my panic shit.

I also have On Whey, Betagen, Glutamine, creatine and BCAAs. These are things I got a great deal on and some I had from the last time I got in shape.

Are there any other supplements that are recommended for TRT?

I know that supplements only help a little if any, but I have had good luck with some and got bargains on the others. With the high cholesterol (low hdl) I am going to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks for the next 3 months and get retested for everything. Then I will cut back on the supplements and focus on just whole foods.

I am going to be 100% dedicated with a quality workout (I did Muay Thai with a champion bodybuilder/nutrition coach and will consult) including sweet potatos and oats daily along with lean protein and fruits and vegetables.

I am un believably exicted to finally change my life to better than it has ever been. The bodybuilder is also a sergeon and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) doctor, but for some reason I feel more comfortable in Chips hands with my health, not that the BB wouldn't also do great.

The best I have been down to was 198 pounds at 18%, with probably lower test that I have now. Now I am hoping to shed the fat down to 15% or so and start gaining some muscle. I'd like to end up at about 220 with abs and very physically fit.

I am just realizing that at 31, my potential is virtually unlimited if I put for the effort. It's an amazing feeling when you suddenly realize it's not all hopeless.

I got a power rack, 1000+ pounds of plates, leg press machine, lat pull, bench, thai bag, heavy bag, double end, speed bag, etc. I am ready to go. I got crazy KO power now (good balance) and can't wait to see how I could do with a lot less weight, more focus and memory and energy.

(sorry for the rambling and mixed topics, I had to take a klonopin a little bit ago and it makes me jump through thoughts)

I truly appreciate Chip, 3J, The Maximus crew and everyone that participates on the forum. It's a life saver, literally.

I hope he had small hands

Your doc uses his whole hand? Mine just used his finger. I did get a free watch out of it though lol.

Seriously though, I have been wanting/needing one even though I am almost 32 my dad battled prostate cancer.

My last doc had hands like a bunch of bananas. Each finger was like a sausage link, so I am glad I got this new doc. He did have to shove hard lol, guess I subconsciously keep my asshole shut tight. Must be from growing up in the ghetto around felons lol.

whats your test levels at? and e2? from what I've read cholesterol will improve when you get to optimal test levels (upper range or normal). Id continue to take the fish oil.

Initially my test was 324 and then my free test was 63 pg/ml (47-244) with my prolactin at 11.86 ng/ml (2.64-13.13) and estradiol was 19pg/ml (00-40).

So pretty much low test and high femininity. I didn't really know what the prolactin does until I just looked it up. My thyroid TSH was on the low end as well.

The whole thread with some more info is right here

So now I got 180 clomid tabs. But I am going the right way because I want to feel "normal", whatever that feels like. lol.

I was worried about the cholesterol aspect because all I had ever read were about AAS abusers with huge increases in cholesterol during cycles, etc. When I looked in to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and the normal ranges, it changed my views. I hope it alters my lipids in a positive way along with the effort i'll be applying.

My goal right now, after I lose about 50 pounds or so over the next 3-4 months, will be to get my bench to 200 pounds. I have a home gym and have never worked out in public because in high school my bench max was about 85 pounds and I weighed 168 or so. I could dunk though.

Now I am 268 or so and would be lucky to bench 145 once. That was my max when I busted my ass to get down to 198. 6 months of tuna straight from the can and a half a sweet potato, 3 times a day and then three myoplex shakes. Everyday the same thing.

No increase in muscle or strength, noticibly at least, but lost about 65 pounds.

Rambling again....

also, after the "clomid challenge" they didn't re take the free test or estradial test that I asked for. He was happy that it improved, but if the test goes up, but so does the E2 then it ain't that good. Which is why I only saw limited improvements.

Now it's been a few days and I feel even worse than before the test. "rebound period" he said. During my physical I could barely see the frightened turtle. It's like it's getting no blood and stays hidden all day and now I have 0 libido.

I had to ask 3 times for the PSA test and then they finally said ok, but insurance didn't cover it because I'm 31. My dad had prostate cancer, and it can hit at my age. Seems cheaper to test than fight the cancer later on..

Dude get a new doc ASAP. trust me if you need to fight for them to do these test then go else where. ive been there before and because of my shity doc i just dealt with low T for a few years.
