Getting ur bf into the 6 percent range.

2-3 months at 6% will be uncomfortable

if i dropped any lower than 7-8% i have cramping issues with my MMA

I crap so much in practice that sometimes I have to sit out. I have been drinking coconut water and that has helped me a ton.
 
I take my body fat down to the 5%-6% range on a yearly basis for about a month.

Lower or longer than that and it is very uncomfortable. The soles of my feet hurt and my lips dry out when I get below 5%.

There is a very good reason for doing this every now and again and that is because it actually changes the physiological way one stores body fat.

There is a significant amount of research behind what happens to one's body when they reduce their body fat to extremely low levels but the simple story is this. The body, when the diet period is ended, restores body fat differently than it did before the extreme diet. The storage patterns are altered so that the body can get to the fat more efficiently in the future if it recognizes that there is an extreme diet taking place again.

I'm not trying to stay there forever im just trying to get there for awhile and see what my body looks like while spinning a few heads at the gym lol...
 
ok... now let's be clear about something... 5-6% is what extremely depleted professional bodybuilders are at on the Olympia stage... so if u guys think ur gonna get there and live that way in your daily life, well... it's not gonna happen. Or... if it does u are NOT gonna be very comfortable

in your avatar u look very good, great actually... but not 7%, 9-10 maybe

so... if u wanna get down to 6%... yes, u have to cut sugar out, no oil, boil everything, no salt and cardio 30-40min on an empty stomach every morning... if u think u could live like that for more than a couple weeks u are not human like the rest of us... :)

yep, I'm sticking by my statement that u are in the 10% area, maybe 9... but not 7

and for the guy above that said pro bodybuilders get to 3% bf, well... that is pure bs. People really for the most part have no idea when it comes to bf%. If u are a fighter getting down to 6% would be silly bro, u'll get severe cramps and be very vulnerable to injury... not to mention almost non-existant strength and energy levels.

u look so good already in the avatar, why risk doing yourself more harm than good just for a couple % less in bf?

sorry to rock the boat, but I'm speaking from experience... hope it can be of some help
 
It's all good China. Your words are a big help. I got checked and I was 7 percent but if your going with 10 then I really would love to see what I would look like at a legit 6 percent.

like I said... a legit 6% is very similar to being as lean as the boys on stage at the Mr. O

how did u have your bf% checked? the only way that is even near accurate is done with u being fully submerged in water and not many of us have the facilities or cash to have that done
 
yeah. although i've seen a good consistency across 9 point marker checks. i agree with china_wall that they aren't an accurate reading of your real bodyfat, but as you lose, i feel like they stay pretty consistent for most people. so for tracking purposes they make sense, given we can't all access dunk tanks with regularity. they help keep track of lean body mass as you cut or bulk, etc.

as an athlete i was checking out on the 9 point around 7, machine had me around 9-9.5. i usually just said i was 8.5 or 8-9%.
