Really? It doesnt have much benefits unless you're cutting?
I guess imo i think it helps huge. way way less soreness and a much better recovery. they say that when you injure yourself, your body sends 2/3 of its glutamine stores to that injured site. when you lift weights - your body thinks its injured - and sends the glutamine to whatever muscle group you just blasted in the gym. but then the next day when you do another body part - there's not enough glutamine to go around. thats just what i have read. and my doctor suggested i use glutamine everyday in addition to my shakes. 5mg at the least, up to 40g depending on my soreness etc. it also helps old injuries that haunt you - like my damn shoulder that is a 2 year old injury. i use the allmax brand of micronized glutamine, it seems to be the best one yet. a good quality glutamine is supposed to be pure white - not yellowish or creamy, no smell and no taste, and should be a very fine powder.
anyway. if i dont take my glutamine, i sure feel it the next day. it think it works awesome.
