Grocery Shopping

Just went grocery shopping and I figured I'd post up what I bought for the week... Keep in mind I'm cutting and I try to take in 475 grams of protein a day.

12 lbs of fresh chicken breasts
3 lbs 95/5 ground beef
1.5 lbs flank steak
9 dozen eggs
1 lb deli turkey breast
1/2 White American cheese
3 heads of lettuce
35 pack of bottled water

Total = $89.22

* I bought fish in bulk last week, so I still have 12 cans of tuna and 3 lbs of frozen tilapia fillets in my refrigerator
* I also have the small amount of carbs I eat already (rice/whole wheat pasta/grits) and all the Olive Oil, hot sauce, etc that I eat during the week.

I'd like to know what everyone else's grocery bills/lists look like for the week.

89 dollars holy shit everytime i fucking leave the store i always leave those fuckers 2-300 dollars!! you are cutting and taking in 400+ g protein a day??

I'm down to 15 cans of tuna so it's time I went to store myself. Typically I purchase:

10 pounds of Salmon
10 pounds of Snow Crab
5-6 pounds of lean beef
5 pounds of flank steak (love that stuff)
I only buy 3-4 pounds of chicken most times and rotate my stock. I muct have close to 20 pounds of chicken in my deep freezer at all times.

I go to the store once a week to buy fresh vggies (Asparagus, cabbage, lettece, green beans, spinach and such because I goes bad pretty fast and I hate wasting my cash by having to toss it in the garbage.

On average I spend about $100 a week....but dip into the coin purse pretty heavy when something is on sale....like those crab legs...damn things were 4.99 a pound as well as the salmon.

Mine looks about the same bro...
It's basically 8-10 lbs chick breast
2 lbs 96/4 ground beef
1 (2.5 lb) lean roast eye of round or bottom round
or 2-3 pounds Sirloin steaks in the warmer/grill out weeks
1-2 lbs extra lean pork loin steaks
2-3 lbs fish (salmon, talapia, orange roughy)
1 lb Turkey bacon
8 cans tuna fish
3 dozen eggs
3 gallons skim milk
assorted fresh veggies and sweet potatoes
and an assortment of brown rice, wheat pasta, cereal (bran, granola), oatmeal, and other sides.. Also different spices, sauces, and marinades to flavor shit up!! :) I'm always trying something new w/the flavor part.

**We'll buy in bulk if their having a major sale... like when fresh tyson chicken breasts were buy on get one free and 0.99 cents a pound! That's stock up time! :)

Me and my girlfriend usually go together and split the total. We'll generally spend anywhere from $180 to $250 total, every two weeks. So it's usually about $100 each every two weeks plus the 1-2 little trips in between and going out/cheat meals once weekly.

Oh man, I love sweet potatoes, I eat those a couple times a week as a side dish for dinner, with a little sour cream. They're the best.

What does 96/4 ground beef mean? I always get confused when I hear that.

that would be more like a typical bulking grocery list for me... right now i only keep around what i can eat for cutting cuz I know I'll slip up if I have mega carbs around

I get chicken breasts for $2.59/lb normally, but when there on sale... anything less than $1.99/lb I stock up... the only problem is I live with 3 other guys and we only have one fridge plus my mini fridge, so I have to be courteous and not take up everything
