Hair loss from HCG............

one way step

Hello all,

I've been on TRT for years now. It seems like every time I am using HCG, I experience some form of hair loss. When I was first on it my hairline began to recede (this was while doing HCG mono therapy). Several years after when I incorporated it into my TRT with test it caused more hair loss as well as an increase in body hair. While on just test, I did not experience any hair loss whatsoever.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent this hair loss? Has anybody else experienced this? It should be noted that, as per my endo, I was taking 5000iu every week (yes, five thousand).

Lol, that's 10x the amount most of us take per week. It's possible that you were converting more test into DHT, but I've honestly never heard of HCG doing this.

This wasn't a fertility protocol, was it?

My .02c :)

Ive read just the opposite, with hcg helping retain hair on the scalp.

Maybe your just getting older and balder,, why blame it on the hcg,, 1000s of years before there was injectable hcg guys suddenly started balding as well (back then they blamed it on the old lady.. Guess your old lady is thankful you have hcg to blame)
:)

How old are you? I have some slight receding at the temples at 40 and has been there since late 20s, but I just chalk it up to genetics primarily and understand that TRT will probably accelerate the process.

Most importantly, I realize that balding is actually attractive to some really hot females. Otherwise, bald dudes would have been phased out of the gene pool due to lack of ability to reproduce.

And yeah I only take 750 iu week of HCG. 5 k is way more than I am used to hearing.

27.

When I was on HCG mono the regemine was 2500iu three times per week. This 2500iu dose was kept by my endo when I began incorporating it into TRT. Why was it so much higher than the typical doses here? I don't know, except it corresponds to how useless my endo has been.

The hair loss, and body hair gain, directly correlates to the use of HCG. Now that I have it back into a routine I am fearful for my scalp.

I will also note that I did take finasteride for a short period to combat this hair loss during these periods. While it appeared to work the sexual side effects were too intense and it was discontinued.

It might be increasing DHT and E2. Never heard of this before, but that dosage is insanely high. Why are you taking so much? many would say that will burn out your leydig cells and i think i've seen the science to prove it somewhere.
500 IU per week is pretty standard right now. More or less. Divided into EOD, x2, or E7D dosages.
