has anyone taken steroids out of curiosity?

so the question is kind of the topic but has anyone here done steroids out of curiosity for what steroids can do to you and not to become a huge hulking bodybuilder? Also, if you did did you find one cycle was enough to achieve your goals and did you have any desire to do more in the future?

Troll, what the fuck is the website called?

Yea I read the website, no need to be a dick.

And it is a legitimate question. I was just wondering if people have done a cycle and been satisfied, and didnt do them in the future.

Are you guys this mean to everyone who signs up?

The reason you were met with a less than stellar welcome is your question really shows a lack of education in this area. Steroids for starters are everything from birth control pills to over the counter supplements used to help replenish naturally occurring hormones or even some anti-inflammatories. AAS, or anabolic/androgenic steroids on the other hand are what many here use to facilitate the building of additional mass/strength beyond that which is typically possible naturally. The concept of popping a pill or injecting something into one's body to quickly become a "hulking bodybuilder" is not only silly, it shows a lack of respect towards those that are able to make such great accomplishments as drugs are such a small part of the bodybuilding culture. It takes a great deal of hard work, determination, genetics, and self-discipline to transform one's body as the professionals have done.

Would you eat rat poison to see what it does to you? Like AAS, I would hope one would have enough common sense to at least recognize the intended purpose of something before consumption. I'm not going to flat out call you a troll, but I do think you should spend a bit more time reading before posing such philosophical questions.

My .02c :p

Well thank you for that feedback Halfwit, I will certainly take it into consideration and think twice before asking a question on here again.

I mean, I know that steroids are only part of what body builders do to look the way that they do. I guess my question was occuring because I am very curious about steroids, how it would effect my workouts, body and mind, but at the same time I do not aspire to look like a professional body builder.

It is no means of disrespect, but it just isnt what I want to look like, and I just wanted to see if anyone else approached anabolic steroids from the curisosity perspective instead of using it to acheive that specific goal.

If I get what you are saying in the post, you essentially feel that steroids should only be used to acheive that certain look and not for any other reasons. Is that right?

Also, I understand you guys get a lot of trolls and such, but this forum is part of my internet research while I am trying to mentally map this out. I mean, there are tons of info out there on different type of steroids, post cycle therapy (pct) treatment, how to handle side effects and so forth but for specific questions I find it hard to see other's opinions or experiences. At least that is what I was hoping to get over here :-(

Does that make more sense?
I see no fault in being curious as I'm sure it is what drives many of us to try new things. I simply feel that you could have avoided getting such a welcome if you were to spend time time reading the stickies and articles that literally cover this site. You could probably spend THOUSANDS of hours reading the material here, which should give you a pretty good idea on not only how steroids work, but if it is something you may be interested in.

Again, steroids aren't what necessarily make bodybuilders look the way they do. That's also diet (they eat FAR more than the average man) and training which are largely responsible for providing such a physique. I advise you look at 90% of the professional sports players and ask yourself if they look like bodybuilders or not - because odds are they're on some form (or have been) of AAS at one point or another.

So...you are telling me that yes a lot of people do AAS without the intention of looking like a full-fledged body builder, is that rigth?

And yes, I can see how my question came across as crass. I mean, its hard to know if it is something I want to do. There are some guys at my gym who are huge, and way too big. Then there are some that look like they may be on AAS, and are the perfect size. I want to be like that, but I cant walk up and ask them if they are roiding it up, it seems kind of rude.

Absolutely you can use AAS and not look HUGE. It's about what you put into your body and how you use it that dictates how it will look. You would probably get the same reaction, or worse than you got here if you went up and asked someone to their face if they're using AAS. It seems like you have a goal in mind but aren't sure if AAS can help you reach it or if it is doable naturally. What is your goal if I may ask?

yea there is, I would show a picture but Im at work and working off of my phone, which makes it hard.

If you dont judge me, there is this gay porn star I want to look like, his name is Tyler St. James. If you wait for me to get back from home I can get you a pg-13 pic of him, or if you are comforable with your sexuality, you can google him and ignore the nekked pics.

I want to look like him, but just a little bit smaller. He has the perfect combo of fat and muscle in my opinion.

Hmmmm I'm not sure how to respond to this post after the last post. Mabe u should c what he's sticking in his ass to get big lmao!!

Ive tried that, it doesnt help you get big.

I guess I shouldnt have outed myself when I was so new to the forums :-(.

Not going to judge you, although I did have a difficult time staying on his website given the barrage of gay sex images as google wasn't playing nice. It's hard to say if he's done AAS or not, although I would hazard to guess he has run a few cycles given his muscularity. Keep in mind, he is at about 10% body fat and has spent a fair amount of time in the gym along with having decent genetics. I do feel that achieving his look is possible naturally, but it will take several years of hard work and determination.

I had sex with the wife twice last night, so my heterosexual powers allowed me to take a peek and see what was being put in someone's ass and I still feel okay about myself, LOL. (Sorry cdiggity, but I had to make a comment!)

Haha, you would be surprised how many gays are in the sport. It is after all quite a hedonistic and narcissistic lifestyle.

^^yea that is kind of what I figured, and I did warn you before the google search. His name comes with way more gay sex act images than other's, which is surprising.

I mean, I know I want to get a good foundation before trying a cycle, Ive only been at the gym for my 3rd year now and I would say that I have just gotten the diet down for the past 5 months.

I hate this bulk it is taking forever :(

I know tons of them are, I mean we lust over the type of bodies hardcore.

But you would be surprised how homophobic the gym community can be because of it...

This is a good point Half. One of the hardest parts of the deal for me to be honest. Talking about tanning and shaving the chest, etc. That's the stuff I'm not used to. I've never been vein and am actually putting effort into being more vein. This all goes under the psychology section somewhere I'm sure.

Well, if it was easy - everyone would have the body of a Greek God and we'd have to find another way to judge people on appearance. :p Keep on it man, you WILL get there as consistency is key to this game.

Well, my best friend in High School and AMAZING training partner who had sex with the girls most of us would kill to have a chance at with ended up being gay. It was quite a surprise as he was one of the most homophobic people I had ever known, never saw that one coming. I think as we get older, and have a true picture of who we are - we tend to care less if someone enjoys a lifestyle different than our own. It's the folks that are confused on if they're straight/gay that seem to have the biggest problems. Granted, I do get uneasy watching porn sent to me by friends (as a gag) that has those "surprise!" moments when the hot chick going down on a guy pulls out a penis bigger than a baby elephant's trunk!

Meh, I don't think we have to be vain to enjoy looking and feeling good. I honestly got back into this lifestyle as my little girl was born and I wanted to be able to enjoy an active lifestyle with her as she grows up. I do have to admit that having young girls hit on you is nice, but I am doing this for me so they can oogle all they want. Granted, AAS does make it hard sometimes, literally and figuratively. :p

Lol im sure the girls dont mind the higher sex drive that you get from the AAS as well :).

Thanks for the kudos on the hard work. It sucks cause I want results now but even if I take some AAS Im still gonna have to work my ass off. It sucks, but at least it gives me something to look forward too.

Do you know if I did take a cycle or two to look like that guy if I would be able to keep the gains or would I have to consistently take cycles to keep looking like that?
