having your manhood taken away while on trt.

I am having a vasectomy performed in a couple weeks and am curious if that will affect my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) treatment in any way. I would think not, but I honestly have no idea. Is being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) something that I need to let the doctor know about before getting the procedure done? He's an old school guy and one who would frown upon it.

Thanks!

Goodness! When I saw the title I thought you were getting castrated! I'm glad to hear that's not the case. I can't imagine how a vasectomy would affect your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I've heard that it can improve your lovelife when you don't have to worry about unintended pregnancy.

why you getting a vasectomy? testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can bring your sperm count to 0. dont take Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and give it a couple months and get your sperm count tested

Been there, done that, even got it reversed successfully (3 more kids to prove it). In my experience there is zero effect on anything (aside from your ability to reproduce) while vasectomised. The only thing I complained about was they called the reversal "microsurgery" instead of "plumbing" or "civil engineering".

As with any surgery you need to let the doctor know what medications you are taking, he should advise you of anything you need to do or change. Your operation may not have anything to do with your current medication but there are secondary things like pain killers, vitamins, anasteia, all of which may interact with what you take, never good to lie to a doc thats doing surgery. but seeing as how a vasectomy has nothing to do with hormal production you should be fine. All they are doing is either removing/tying hte tube that carries sperm to your urethra. So the amount, shape, size, color, smell, taste etc of your man load should not change just the fact that you cant have kids should. Thats why its called firing blanks, you get everything but the deadly portion coming out.

Which leads to me this, anybody ever read the back of Aspirin bottle and see that it sayd dont take while on steroids.

Thanks for the replys gent's! I didn't think it would affect anything but you know the old saying..."the don't know what you don't know".

I suspect they are talking about oral steroids, as they can be hard on the liver, which is true of aspirin as well. Same reason you shouldn't take aspirin, tylenol, etc if you are a heavy drinker.
