HCG Diet... is this stuff real HCG?

Many don't realize there is something called lipogenesis. Like dre said, your body can take glucose and store it as two things; glycogen and fat. Your body can break down protein into glucose and make fat out of it. It IS a more inefficient process and you burn a few calories here and there but nothing that makes much of a difference. Of course, fat can be stored straight up but only on a true caloric surplus. I did find the movie fathead pretty enlightening, kind of like a bigger, stronger, faster of nutrition. It was not mcdonald's that made morgan spurlock(sp?) fat in supersize me. It was the 4000+ calories he was consuming a day that made him gain weight and wrecked his health.

Edit: Turns out that on average, morgan consumed 5000 calories a day. Holy shit :40oz:

You guys are all wrong. Everyone knows Ramen and serving time in prison is how you get swole. Durrrrrr. :wiggle:

I respect everyone's opinion's in here, but as a diabetic and former morbidly obese dude on TRT - I have to say it's a bit of both; with hormones having a larger impact if outside physiological ranges, while calories/macros playing a larger part for those with healthy ranges of hormones. Couldn't lose a pound while hypogonadal (except for keto), but can easily put on both fat and LBM with TRT/supraphysiological doses of hormones.

Then again, there are those naturally gifted bastards that seem to be an ultra mesomorph no matter what they eat. I truly hate them as I'm completely green with envy.

Edit: Wow, my post seems completely unrelated now as I didn't look down to see that big Page 1 of 2 staring me in the face. D'oh! Mea culpa. :worried:
