I respect everyone's opinion's in here, but as a diabetic and former morbidly obese dude on TRT - I have to say it's a bit of both; with hormones having a larger impact if outside physiological ranges, while calories/macros playing a larger part for those with healthy ranges of hormones. Couldn't lose a pound while hypogonadal (except for keto), but can easily put on both fat and LBM with TRT/supraphysiological doses of hormones.
Then again, there are those naturally gifted bastards that seem to be an ultra mesomorph no matter what they eat. I truly hate them as I'm completely green with envy.
