Recently i been getting severe migraines after my first set with heavy weights. My warm up set is fine but once i add the weight i get such a severe migraine, and i get a little dizzy. After im done lifting i usually then have a migraine for the rest of the day. Anybody else have this problem?

That's caused from high blood pressure, it can be dangerous Die$eL's right take a few aspirin before you work out will stop that and give you a good pump too!

Just went to the doctor this morning, my blood pressure was a little high so it sounds like your right popkorn. I still have to get an M.R.I done but the doctor said its nothing to worry about just need to get some blood pressure meds, unfortunantly blood pressure is hereditary in my family. The doctor said it sounds like exercise induced headaches which are common when your breathing is messed up during reps. Also aspirin doesnt help with the headaches, I tried it all and even took an imitrex which is a prescription migraine pill. Anybody else experience these migraines?

I had this probelem a while back, but it was from heavy power shrugs, my quest was for a thousand pounds I got around the high 800's but this whole thing fucked it up, it was putting a ton of strain on the muscles on the back of my neck, which was causing mine. Streching my neck helped out and I reduced the amount of weight and just increased the reps so I didn't strain as much.

What migraines are not severe??? Even a mild headache throws off my workout, but for me its blood sugar and I never get migraines from lifting.

Sounds like a serious problem in your case.

DOCTORRRRRRR PLZZZZZZ...
I KNOW how n what it feels... 2001 was the fuckinyear... got a headscan and nothign came out..finally it was said to be meningitis.. was in intensive therapy unit and couldnt go to gym for 2 monthssssss :(

I saw a study that said BP can hit as high as 400/180 in training, probably people who dont breathe.

In a study done with 20 males doing workout, 10 of them without NSAID's. and 10 with, the protein synthesis totally halted while on NSAID.

If your on a cycle don't do the B/P meds they will screw up you training, they make you tired because usually they lower your blood pressure too much. try a diet change cut out one thing (anything) for 2 weeks and check it again (your B/P that is). the Aspirin will help a lot and just once a day. Vanadyl Sulfate (i think i spelled it right) will keep you vascular with out high blood pressure. and if your taking any Nitrix Oxide supps they will raise your B/P.

iv been getting the exact same thing, I get this everytime I hold a little water so im 99% sure it BP. Are you taking any Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) at the moment?

Wow!! Anyway to get this study? I want to look into that. That IS enough to give you a heart attack and maybe even a stroke. Having a BP of only 220 can give someone a stroke.

I too get headaches when my blood pressure is too for for a little. Sometimes it happens before the gym, after the gym, but rarely happens at the gym. Also, get nausea too, when that's when I am over trained. Make sure that you are not over trained. That could also be the cause of the headache, but be on the safe side and follow what the doc says and if you are on anything, you may want to adjust doses to be sure.

No I'm a natty. I just started getting these migraines after doing heavy power movements. Started after doing squats and leg presses then continued the following week after every other workout. My doctor said it's due to my high blood pressure, and my breathing during the sets. My blood pressure is 140/90 so i'm glad i found out i had this problem before it became a problem. Plus i just got my cholesterol levels tested today i should be getting those results back the end of the week.

I'm not on a cycle and i dont plan on doing a cycle especially now until i get my blood pressure levels steady. My diet is pretty much lean and clean. No other bad habits alcohol, ciggerates, drugs. I also tried taking aspirin before my workouts last week but i didn't do anything. Hopefully when i get prescribed blood pressure meds i wont get these migraines anymore. I know there are so many blood pressure meds but does anybody know some of the side effects that go along with these medicines that will effect my workout routines, and bodybuilding.

Who in the hell told you that? There is no such thing. 120/90 is perfectly normal.
