heavy benching painful delts/shoulders

when i lift chest it feels great and everything i use the 5by5 routine i go as much as i can with bench when i am done benching i feel fine but when i move my arms for ex. lets say to scratch my head or something around my head area i feel pains in my delt/shoulder dont know why never happend before it started happening recently. is it maybe cuz i got sick or what?
 
if you are doing a seperate shoulder routine as well you may be overtraining the delts. very easy to do. thats why i do chest, delts and tris on the same day once a week. hope this helps.
 
Yeah, warmups make it easier on the delts. Start with some pushups first.

Also, some rotator cuff work once a week is always a great idea :)
 
How wide is your grip? If it too wide combined with the volume of the 5x5, your anterior delts will take a pounding. Raw benchers should use more tri's.
