Hello. I am new to this site, but have been doing a lot of reading on here as well as a couple others trying to get a better understanding of what I can expect now that I am on HRT. I started about 8 weeks ago after getting a very low testosterone test back during a physical, results are at the bottom of this post for those that are interested. Currently i am on test cypionate @200mg/bi-weekly, but have changed that to 100mg/weekly per advice on another forum. I am self medicating with and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) as my Dr refused to prescribe it, currently using Liquidex at .25mg eod. I have seen a good change in several areas already, wtih mental focus and libido leading the changes.

As a note, I had the bloodwork done during my yearly physical as I was considering starting a cycle after the first of the year, but was alarmed when my levels were so low. Still planning a cycle after the first of the year, but am waiting ot get through the rest of the diagnostic tests to make srue there are no major issue before I start. I also need to loose about another 2%bf as well to get below 15% prior to starting.

Well your test is definitely low. But unless I missed it, you didn't give your estrogen levels. You'll want to know this, particularly since you're "self medicating" an AI.

We don't discuss cycles in this forum since it is strictly for TRT/HRT purposes. You'll need to go to the other forum for that.

E2 was not checked by my Dr. She stated its not necessary. I started the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) due to some bloat and nipple tenderness, I agree though its less than ideal not knowing the actual levels. Talking to my urologist is like talking to a fence post when it comes to Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). After the first of the year I am going to Dr. Crisler, just trying to bridge myself to that with the low dose to keep from having the water build up or future issue with gyno.

Wasnt discussing the cycle, other than mentioning the reasoning for the bloodwork.

I friggin hate docs that don't know what they're doing. Unfortunately, when it comes to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), that's the vast majority of them. Any doc that says estrogen levels aren't important should be strung up by their feet to the nearest tree and bull whipped until they admit they are a charlatan, and made to give a full refund to every client they ever had.

Definitely! Can I watch?

Its certainly a shame that they dont know what they are doing. I wish I would have spent more time looking online and educated myself better before I went to the Dr I did. Of course, after the 37 number, I was in a rush to get into a urologist to start looking for problems right away. She started me on test that day and allows me to do my own injections, so thats a huge plus. Just wish she was open to read up on some of the succesful protocols that are being used.

I have an appointment with a different clinic next month, so hopefully I will be able to get a good protocol established from that and be on the right track. I have certaily started feeling the positive sides of therapy, so I look forward to getting it all lined out and on track.
