Advice for a cycle for a sprinter/power event please !

Hi I am very new to the forum and although have been researching and reading for years am still not convinced I'm ready for my first cycle, but I am really curious to some things I'm hoping somebody here can help me with. I'm an track sprinter, I'm curious what steroid or combination of steroids could help with such an event as the 100m dash. I would have thought an anavar or winstrol cycle would be the best as they both aid in decreasing fat, little to no water weight gained and even small muscle mass gained. But then people say var only cycles are shocking and even all oral cycles are useless. But with the test base, wouldn't you put on unnesecary muscle mass which would slow you down? Maybe winstrol out of the question if you are subject to joints being dried out too much and pains and what not, but what would be wrong with a var only cycle, to drop a bit of body fat and be able to gain some strength with less fat/weight on you, wouldn't your power or strength to weight ratio benefit making you faster ? Sorry if what I'm writing doesn't make sense, I just haven't seen much on this and wouldn't mind some help, so if anyone can answer with a decent answer and not give it to my life or go off at me for being a bit unknowledgable. Some good information would be really helpful. Thanks in advance guys..

A test base is absolutely necessary. Any steroid will shut down your natural test production and make you feel like shit, feel sluggish, and would be counterproductive to your goals.

No, you would not put on unnecessary muscle mass with a test base. All you need is enough to replace what you would naturally produce. So, you could run low dose test and var for 8 weeks and only get the effects from the var like you want. Testosterone is definitely necessary. So is a proper pct protocol. Winstrol would be a bad idea for a sprinter for the reason you stated, among others.

To fully help you we need your stats. Age, weight, height, and bf%. After we get that then we can help you design something that'll help you accomplish your goals.

I am 6ft1, 180 pounds, 22 years old. Before you guys tell me I can achieve things without AAS and I am too young and unknowledgable and put me on blast, most of this is hypothetical, i dont even beleive i could go to AAS yet myself. But it is a topic thats always interested me. I am not looking at putting on much more weight if any, but more so increasing my power to weight ratio until obviously plateauing I might need to put on another few kiloes but the more size the slower you go at a certain point I guess. Thanks for the reply Norsegod, would var and a low test base be the best option in your mind or are there any decent alternatives ?

Well, I am not a fan at all of Winstrol, however, when Ben Johnson wiped Carl Lewis and everyone else out in the 100m sprint and was labelled the fastest man in the world, that was until his drug test came back......he was benching 315 and shattered the previous record for his race........he tested positive for winstrol and testosterone levels exceeding normal range. in Forrest Gumps words....."that's all I have to say about thayattt". :)

track runners usually rely on EPO.. not anabolics

track runners usually rely on EPO.. not anabolics

This mainly applies to distance runners (5km+), sprinters definetly use anabolics & peptides.

Some random ideas all with a test base:
Nandrolone was the go to for guys in the 80s butthe detection time made it an issue.
Winstrol, Eq (both used for horses) may help.
I'm familiar with wrestlers who are very complimentary of halo, whether this carries over to sprints is another matter.
Tbol, var are more options.

A few thoughts for you to research :)

your right.. he is a sprinter and not a long distance runner.. i think test and eq would serve him well personally

Thanks I have looked over a lot of possible options and done much reading, but there seems to be lots of things with them that would hinder a sprinter don't you think, winstrol with the draining of water and making problems with joints, var possible severe cramps, lots of sprinters and weightlifters can't even get through a session on it without massive cramps, and others with huge and unreasonable detection times.. :( ahh
