Help, have suffered from insomnia for many years.

T REX ALPHA no I don't take any of those sedatives Ambien is a good choice for many, but I hear about sides like constipation and life expectancy is shorter with these sedatives since they all derivatives from benzos, these drugs are claimed to have less potential for addiction than the earlier classes of hypnotics. Yet, Ambien, Sonata and Lunesta are schedule-IV controlled substances, the same classification as the benzodiazepines. Furthermore, the evidence is mounting that they share the same potential for dependence as the benzos, too. In addition, these drugs can cause memory loss, and behavioural changes such as less inhibition, more aggressiveness and uncharacteristic extroversion - effects similar to drunkenness.

Some people using these drugs have also experienced abnormal thinking such as loss of identity, hallucinations, worsening of depression and even thoughts of suicide. These reactions are exacerbated if the patient is also taking selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) like Prozac, the side-effects of which include loss of concentration, aggravated depression, manic reactions and an increased tendency for suicidal thoughts.

The prescribing information for Ambien also admits that it can cause hypertension and tachycardia, angina, sudden falls, heart attacks, confusion, agitation, sleepiness, difficulty concentrating or coordinating, dizziness and, believe it or not, insomnia.

Then look into cognitive behavioral therapy. If your doctor rules out medical problems as a cause of your poor sleep, consider cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), a form of behavioral treatment that focuses on changing habits that disrupt sleep. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine now recommends CBT-I over sleep drugs as the treatment of first resort for chronic insomnia. Not sure if this will help you bro, but you might look into that, and again check for sleep apnea

Yeah mine was being caused by apnea. Doc said must be PTSD and gave me sleeping pills which is about the worst thing you can do with apnea. Rule that out first.

CBD has bad reviews I hear negative info that it doesn't work, Cannabis wil only alter more anxiety and paranoia, I don't do it since I have no Interest now at 45 smoking Creepy or any of it's derivatives..
if you benefit from that by so continue to since you will feel good on it, I just rather not put anything of a smoke in my body for Religious purposes and to keep a clean conscience with my lord..

CBD has bad reviews? I'm not in a position where I can use anything cannabis related due to work testing, but I'm always keenly interested in research and legal status so I read and pay attention to this topic. I don't think I've ever read anything negative about it, like...... ever.

Have you tried GABA? I hear it is effective, but also that you become dependent upon it.

Ambien, known as "the Devil's crack"

I have taken therapy like this before I left service and after but no matter how I manage to put myself to sleep I still get up often throughout the night and push myself to sleep relaxing the mind & body controlling my thoughts ect..
nothing really works,.

My Uncle before he died long ago had life Insurance after his death somehow the life Insurance had found out he was on psychiatric meds they wouldn't pay the policy to his family, I had found out not to long ago Life Insurance don't cover for anything related with psychiatric meds,

you can buy a life Insurance and never know they will not pay for this..
Because all the side effects these meds give you and life expectancy is short..

Now that's interesting. Good to tell people to look into this on their policy. Man would that be bad for many.

I don't have life insurance so no worries for me. I wonder and I will look into this , about the meds shortening life span ? Never heard of that. Having been on them for so many years , hell half my life and more it hasn't seemed to hurt my life span yet. But I am "ONLY ?? " 66 yrs. When I look at that being a life span that would be way short a life, Hmmm and so many feel that is old.

All depends on what you're doing.

But yea interesting ...

yeah Mike find out it's an Interesting subject, since there's so much controversial with psychiatric meds I won't ride on it, I know there's some people that really need to be on meds to be in control of them self..
I'm expecting my sermorelin today I will start a journal to help others including myself ..

Def read up on it. I bought a policy and they asked a shit load of questions. I answered them all honestly. 2mil policy costs me about as much as my Netflix and I told them I'm on TRT and adivan.

Good for you bud. Hope it all works out.

Let me just quickly state ... the doctors are over prescribing psych meds and hurting people. My complete clinical breakdown happened in 75' not to go into it of course, however the meds are a life saver for me and many others. Have tried countless times to get off ... then Opps someone gets hurt, HURT.

My wife now ex would know within 5-7 days if I was off.. Just saying that it is real for some and the meds are GOOD for SOME.

Thanks for listening and time on your thread.........

Nough said bout me :insane: back to your thread.
