Help reducing injection pain

When I had more body fat injections were easier. I typically inject 140 mg T cyp E7D. I used 27 gauge and inject in the thighs. I am a competitive runner and my thighs are well muscled and hard. I can only reach my right glute. I do that occasionally. I can't even think of injecting in my delts.

Anyone have any tricks for alleviating injection pain? Lately, I am having trouble getting deep shots. I don't have enough body fat to go sub q.

I don't have a problem manning up and sticking it in I just don't want it to hurt everytime. Any ideas?

If your injecting less then 1 ml, try your delts. They're pretty easy to do and after the initial 1 or 2 injections they should be pain free. I rotate delts and quads and it works good and keeps scar tissue down.**( just saw you don't want to do delts)**

I'm confused - why do you think that more body fat would make IM injection easier? Or is it that you used to inject sub-q when you had more fat and have since changed?

Are you talking about pain during the injection? Like you're touching a nerve? You might not be hitting the right spot on your thigh. I tried a little lower down once and holy shit that needle came out reflexively. Of are you talking about PIP?

Delts - don't knock it til you try it. Use a 29 gauge 1/2" slin pin. It's the favorite site for many, me included.

Can you push more than half a ml through a 29 gauge? Or do you do multiple shots with a slin pin?

It was easier to break the skin when I had a little fat on me. Sometimes the 29 gauge needle bends a la Superman. It just seems to hurt more now. Also, post injection site soreness seems increased since my fat layer has been reduced.

I've thought of just loading six to ten slin pins and poking myself all over.

I've done 1cc with no problem in the delts. The needle should not bend if you're going in straight. The stopper is harder than flesh, make sure you don't pre-bend the needle withdrawing.

The other stuff I can't explain or relate to.

Just to clarify, are you drawing with the same needle you are injecting with? Sticking the needle into the rubber stopper dulls the needle, and can make the injection process a bit more difficult for some people.

I found that injecting in my quads was best. You have to make sure your muscle is completely relaxed when you are injecting. It helped me to put a pillow under my knee and resting my leg on top of the pillow. I would get very subtle soreness after mastering the injection but could do legs the very next day without issues.
