HELP! Slowed Down Facial Hair Growth?

Found out I had low T in June 2015. Doctor put me on 160ml test cyp every 7 days. I'm asian, generally don't grow much facial hair. Before TRT I used to shave need shaving every day. My first week on TRT, saw my mustache and beard grew super fast!! But over the past couple months it slowed down drastically. Just three weeks ago I began to notice that my facial hair is growing awfully slow. Now I find myself shaving every 3-4 days. I also notice a receding hairline. What could possibly be causing this issue?

Do you have blood work that you can post up? That might help us see what is going on. Usually increasing testosterone levels results in more facial hair growth. Finger nails and toe nails usually grow faster too.

Someone mentioned my DHT levels may be the issue

HELP! Slowed Down Facial Hair Growth <-------LMAO

lol bruh im trippin out here for real! :sulk:

As a note, I noticed my hair became straight when I was low T, but after starting TRT it slowly returned to its very curly state. I am being serious, it is odd, but true.

I don't know if this is causing it but your estradiol is creeping up. Do you do anything to manage it?

By the way, how about donating blood for your hematocrit?

My doc is ok with me donating blood every three months to keep hematocrit at a good range.

I expressed a gyno concern to my doctor and she put me on tamoxifen for that first month. Amateur move... Tamoxifen made me feel mildly terrible the whole month being on tamoxifen (weak libido, fatigue). But she will put me on anastrozole by this weekend after consulting with her endocrinologist and urologist friends that it's the right thing to do, she won't prescribe it right away because she has no experience with other TRT patients.

On another note, I'm sure some of you will tell me to kick my doctor to the curb and find another one but it's very difficult for me to find any other endocrinologist in my area. I've done my searching and been to a few other endocrinologists and they all tell me from their own blood draw that my testosterone level is in fact within range and healthy. This one is the only one that was willing to prescribe me TRT so I decided to stick with her. She's not even at real endocrinologist, she is just a family doc.

If she is willing to listen and work with you that is what matters. Maybe it takes a little longer than you might like too get her to do the right thing, but if she ultimately gets there you have a good doc.

I have the same thing going with my cyst removal specialist. He is on trt and gives me the scripts I need at logical trt doses. Why did you change your signature ?

Yeah 1000%. It's been almost 3 months and I've been visiting almost every week. Every visit, she's genuinely interested in my progress and very very open to learning about the topic. She's also been spending her free time researching the topic just for my sake (for now until future TRT patients). It's kind of cool I'm teaching my doctor about TRT lmao, but maybe not so cool if something gets screwed up big time. But I'm willing to take the risk. For the most part, she seems 95% there, I just need to open her up to the rest of the today's TRT community's findings.

Btw, do you think it's E2 that's screwing my hair growth? Or possibly DHT? My facial hair is still growing suuuuuper slow.

Ok just got my blood results from a September 4, 2015 draw... My E2 climbed up to 88! Doctor says this is mostly the reason for my slowed hair growth, and the past couple days my nipples have been mildly tingling. Good news is finally put on anastrozole today, 1mg every 3-4 days (2mg/week). Let's see if my libido and beard comes back this month. Tyvm for the pointers, Megatron28.

Way too much Adex. Do NOT TAKE that much.

Go with .25mg every 3.5 days. So one quarter of a 1mg pill. Trust me. You do not want to take that much Adex. It would drop your E2 to essentially zero and you would feel like total crap. Like not being able to get out of bed.

Would that dose have any benefits as a stand alone ?

Crud!! I literally just consumed a 1 mg tablet only a couple hours ago with my dinner. I trust your expertise and will start taking 0.25mg doses twice a week and let my doctor know my new protocol as well. What it be an issue that I continue my new 0.25mg dose 3.5 days from now? Or should I skip a week or two before I begin the 0.25mg dose every 3.5 days?

Good read sir thanks it seems to be a descent boost. Do you think it would have a negative effect on hpta axis in the long run. If someone were to do it say one month on one month off or even less like a clen cycle 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

I don't think a on/off rotation is necessary. I have known guys who have done this for long periods of time. It won't get you supraphysiological levels or anything but it can help get your TT back into the normal range.

I would take your next .25mg dose a week from now if you are feeling OK.
