Help with Legs

Alright guys,

I have had some knee problems in the past due to poor form in squats and to much weight...

When I try to squat now my knees just kill!!!

I can do leg extensions no problem, along with hamstring workouts. But I just don't feel like I am getting the right amount of legs.

I have taken a month off in hopes that I would heal up, but nothing has changed.

Any advice on some leg workouts that will not kill my knees yet give me good results?

Well there's no doubt about it that squats are probably the most essential excercise there is so you dont want to sacrifice that.

If i was you there would be 3 things i'd try:

#1:Get yourself some knee straps.IMO,they work excellent in holding the knee's in tact minimizing movement of the ligements that tend to move around and out when performing a heavy squat.

#2:Work on your stance and position.Place yourself in a reasonable stance before squating and use the bar to squat, finding a position that feels rite, work's the rite muscle's and feel's most safe.

#3:Dont aggravate your problem. If you find your becoming successfull with squating after some time, dont go overboard thinking you can go back to the time where you never had an issue.Your only going to put yourself out of training.

I would also go see the quack and see if a knee recon is nessesary.
