Help!!

i'm 5'3" and at 155 lbs. basically, i'm fat. mostly around my stomach (sorry if i don't kno the terms as i'm a noob) anywho, i do my abs everynite (just started) but my problem is diet. wat is diet? is it tryin not to eat? i tried that and it doesn't work. are there anything i could take to make me not hungry? or something that would make me lose fat fast? please help me. having this fat stomach is embarassing.. especially to my girl.
 
Firstly, welcome to the board.
Okay, dieting does not mean not eating...hehehe
You need to eat to lose weight as well. It's all in what you eat and the timing of what you eat as well as the quantities.
Can you give us a sample of your daily diet and we'll change it where need be?
 
thanks! umm, i go to school in the morning so, i have no time for breakfast. i eat whatever is on the table or whatever is leftover, most of the time, meat. if not, i go out and eat burgers, chinese, japanese.. you name it. however, i probably eat once or twice in a day. i try to hide my hunger and drink soy milk.

There's no such thing as no time for breakfast. Wake up 15 minutes earlier and eat.

Eating once or twice a day is bad...try to eat 3-6 small meals a day. This will stabalize blood glucose, hormone levels, and increase metabolism. All will help you lose fat.

Soy milk is absolute sludge...do not drink it. It is very bad for you.

Try to eat only whole natural foods, and don't starve yourself.
 
hehe. yea, there shouldn't be such a thing, but to me there is. college is just so occupying that it takes up all my time at night which makes me sleep in and stuff so i have no time.

wouldn't eating more make me fatter? i don't know what those words mean so, i'm sorry.

why is soy milk bad? i can't drink regular milk because i'm lactose intolerant.

what are natural foods?

If you prepare your food ahead of time, it should only take you 10 minutes to eat. There is no excuse not to eat a breakfast. If you're not you're simply being lazy and not making a real effort to attain your goals.

From what it sounds like you're probably eating hardly anything at all. Eating more in this case will not make you fatter. Your metabolism is likely shot from not eating, and it's difficult to lose fat when youre metabolism is very low from not eating much.

You'll just have to do without milk.

Natural foods are simply meats, eggs, dairy, fruits, nuts, grains, beans, and veggies.

Metabolism is basically the rate at which your body uses fuel. If you eat a small amount of food, your body adapts by using less energy. This makes it hard to lose bodyfat. If you eat a lot, your metabolism increases as your body uses more energy.

Let me give you a sample diet for losing fat, as I think you really need something like this to help understand what you're doing.

Meal 1 (breakfast)

3 hard boiled eggs and an apple

Meal 2

2 hamburgers and mixed vegetables

Meal 3 (lunch)

2 chicken breasts over salad mix. Use homemade Italian dressing.

Meal 4 (pre-workout)

2 hamburgers

Meal 5 (Workout)

After working out, eat a banana and have some whole eggs

Meal 6 (Dinner)

10 oz steak and mixed veggies.

Drink about a gallon of water a day.
 
wow.. that seems to me like it's going to make me fat. anywho, when you say whole eggs, is that uncooked?

and the hamburgers, are they homemade or fast food?

and also remember, i'm trying to lose weight.

you came here for advice....trust the advice you get. we're not gonna tell you how to get fat if your tryin to lose...this is how its done, and its not easy.

please dont use college as an excuse not to eat right or train, i am a college student (5 yrs), and have never had a problem...sry just a pet peeve of mine

Cooked eggs is fine.

And by hamburgers, I mean homemade.

After nibbling on soy chips and tuna, this will seem like a lot of food, but it is what you need to help lose bodyfat and possibly gain muscle. I've seen lots of people starve themselves to "lose weight", and they looked the exact same way for years and never really lost any weight...they were just chubby and didn't lose anything.

Starving yourself drops your metabolism really low, which makes it difficult to burn of bodyfat.
 
bro- if you wanna do the "healthy lifestyle" thing and loose weight and have a body you(and your chick) can be proud of, you must learn to cook and manage your time better. I used to skip breakfast and/or lunch like a champ, eat like pig at 5, then eat again at 8 or 9. This made me fat. Now I eat more volume of food than before(albeit less calories/fat/carb) , more often daily, and I've lost a ton of weight. the key is planning. Search through this forum and you'll find all the answers to your ??? If you don't pm me or frosty. Good luck!

i know how to cook ^__^.. i just don't know what a GOOD diet is. is eating 2 slices of bread with cheese a good small meal?

No, it is not.

Eat meat, eggs, and veggies. Don't eat too much lean meat.
